Business Central tracks work-center and machine-center capacity in the background, but the standard product gives supervisors no single screen that answers the daily question: what is loaded where, and where am I over capacity? Planners are left reading the Capacity Ledger, running the Work Center Load matrix, and exporting to Excel to see the picture.
The Graphical Work-Center Load Manager closes that gap. It is a per-tenant AL extension that renders a visual load board over your existing routing, capacity, and production-order data. Each work center shows its scheduled load against available capacity for the chosen horizon, with clear color flags for overload and underload. Supervisors drag a routing operation from an overloaded work center to one with headroom, and the extension updates the underlying Prod. Order Routing Line and recalculates the load in place — no Excel round-trip.
Because it reads the same Calendar Absence Entry, shop calendar, and shift definitions Business Central already uses, the board is shift- and calendar-aware: a day with a planned maintenance window or a holiday shows reduced available capacity automatically. A capacity-leveling routine suggests where to move work to flatten peaks without breaking operation sequence.

No. This is build-to-order. ECOSIRE builds the extension in AL specifically for your routings and shift model and installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment. There is no public AppSource listing or instant download — that lets us tune the load logic, thresholds, and permission set to your shop rather than ship a generic one-size board.
We include a support period after go-live for fixes and tuning, and offer an ongoing support arrangement after that. Because it is a per-tenant extension built only with table extensions, page extensions, and event subscribers — never base-object modifications — it survives Microsoft's monthly and major Business Central updates cleanly. If a future Business Central release changes a capacity or routing object we depend on, we update the extension as part of support so it keeps working.
The board reads your existing Capacity Ledger, production orders, and shop calendars without altering them. The only write operation is the explicit drag-to-rebalance action, which updates the Prod. Order Routing Line exactly as a planner would by hand — through standard Business Central logic, gated by the supervisor permission set, and validated before commit. Read-only viewing never changes anything.
Yes. We can expose per-work-center load through an OData/REST endpoint so it can be pulled into Power BI or a Dataverse / Power Platform dashboard. This is optional; if you only need the board inside Business Central we skip it. When included, we provide a sample connection so your BI team can build trend and utilization reports on top of the same figures supervisors see.
Yes. The extension is standard AL and installs as a per-tenant extension on either Business Central online (SaaS) or an on-premises / private-cloud deployment. The OData endpoint and Power Platform integration are most straightforward on SaaS; on-prem deployments are fully supported with the equivalent web-service configuration.
