Fonctionnalités clés

Token-authenticated integration with the Moodle Web Services REST API, with connection health checks and credential rotation support
Two-way user provisioning: Odoo students and faculty synced to LMS users, de-duplicated by email and `idnumber` to prevent duplicate accounts
Course/category mapping: Odoo courses and batches pushed to LMS courses and matching categories
Enrollment automation: fee-paid or batch-assigned students auto-enrolled in the correct LMS course based on Odoo state
Grade and completion pull-back: LMS grades and completion status written into the Odoo gradebook models
SSO launch handoff generating a per-user token/launch URL from the Odoo portal directly into the target LMS course
Cohort sync mirroring Odoo student groups into LMS cohorts
Configurable field-mapping layer so Odoo fields map to LMS user/course fields without code changes per client
Cron-based scheduled sync plus on-demand manual sync, per record and in bulk
Per-record sync queue with manual and automatic modes, so individual records can be retried in isolation
Full sync log with retry, structured error handling and conflict-resolution rules (last-write, source-of-truth per field)
Multi-instance support via named connection profiles for multi-campus or multi-brand groups
Optional webhook endpoint for near-real-time ingestion of LMS events (enrollments, completions)
Access controlled through `ir.model.access.csv` and record rules; sync actions restricted to authorized roles

À propos de ce produit

Institutions that run one system for teaching and another for money end up re-keying the same people twice. Admissions, fee collection and finance live in Odoo; content, quizzes and completion live in your LMS. When a student pays in Odoo, someone has to remember to create the account, put them in the right course and, at term end, copy grades back for transcripts and reporting. Odoo out of the box has no concept of an external LMS — base and mail give you partners and messaging, but there is no user provisioning bridge, no enrollment push, no grade pull, and no single sign-on into a separate learning platform. That gap is where double data entry, mismatched rosters and "why isn't this student enrolled yet" support tickets come from.

This is a made-to-order connector that ECOSIRE builds for your specific Odoo and LMS pair — not an existing download you install in five minutes. Technically, it talks to Moodle through the Moodle Web Services REST API using token-authenticated service calls, and exposes the Odoo side through a set of new models (models.Model with fields, @api.depends computes for mapping state, and cron-driven scheduled actions). Students and faculty are provisioned as Moodle users, de-duplicated by email and idnumber so you never create a second account for the same person. Odoo courses and batches map to Moodle courses and categories; fee-paid or batch-assigned students are auto-enrolled in the matching course; and grades plus completion status are pulled back into the Odoo gradebook. We wire a configurable field-mapping layer, a per-record sync queue with manual and automatic modes, and a full sync log with retry, error handling and conflict resolution so a failed call is visible and re-runnable rather than silently lost. Access is governed the Odoo way — ir.model.access.csv plus record rules — and every connection profile supports multiple named LMS instances so a group with several campuses or brands is handled cleanly.

The single sign-on piece removes the second login: from the Odoo portal a student or staff member gets a token/launch URL handoff straight into the correct LMS course, so the two systems feel like one to the end user. For near-real-time updates we can add a webhook endpoint that ingests LMS events (enrollment changes, completions) as they happen instead of waiting for the next cron pass. Cohort sync mirrors Odoo student groups into LMS cohorts. Everything is built against your Odoo edition and version — we support Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0, on Community or Enterprise, and account for the differences (for example where Enterprise-only modules are or are not part of your stack) during scoping.

Delivery is build-to-order. After a short scoping call we confirm the exact objects, field mappings, sync direction and trigger events, then build on a staging copy of your Odoo, run UAT against your real data, and cut over with a rollback plan. Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope, depending on how many object types and edge cases are in play. You receive the installable source for your version, documentation, a training session and a post-go-live support window. Pricing starts from $999 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-instance LMS setups, additional object mappings, deeper localization, and larger historical data migrations increase the quoted scope. The firm figure comes as a fixed quote after the scoping call — never a blind fixed price before we understand your data.

Pour qui c'est

LMS-driven institution running Odoo for admin

A college or training provider that delivers all content through Moodle but runs admissions, fees and finance in Odoo. They need students provisioned and enrolled the moment a fee is paid, without re-keying rosters.

IT / systems manager

Owns both platforms and is tired of manual account creation and mismatched enrollments. Wants a governed connector with a queue, retry and a full sync log so failures are visible and re-runnable, not silent.

Registrar / academic operations lead

Responsible for accurate rosters, cohorts and end-of-term grades. Needs completion and grades pulled back into Odoo for transcripts and reporting, and cohort/group structures kept consistent across both systems.

Multi-campus education group

Operates several campuses or brands on separate LMS instances against one Odoo backend. Needs named connection profiles, per-instance mapping and SSO so each campus flows correctly without cross-contamination.

Foire aux questions sur Moodle Connector

Is this a ready-made app I can download and install today?

No. This is a build-to-order integration. We scope it to your exact Odoo version and LMS setup, build it on staging, run UAT against your data and then deploy. You receive the installable source for your version — it is not an existing apps.odoo.com download.

How long does delivery take?

Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope. The range depends on how many object types (users, courses, enrollments, grades, cohorts), sync directions and edge cases are in play, plus any historical data migration. We give you a firm timeline in the fixed quote after the scoping call.

How does pricing and scoping work?

Pricing starts from $999 as an indicative single-company base scope. After a short scoping call we confirm the objects, field mappings and triggers and send a fixed quote. Drivers such as multi-instance LMS setups, extra object mappings, deeper localization and larger data migrations increase the scope — we never quote a blind fixed price before understanding your data.

Which Odoo versions and editions do you support?

We build for Odoo 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0, on both Community and Enterprise. During scoping we confirm your edition and account for any Enterprise-only modules in your stack so the connector fits your environment.

How does the sync stay reliable if a call fails?

Every record goes through a queue with manual and automatic modes and a full sync log. Failed calls are captured with structured error handling, can be retried per record, and conflicts are resolved by configurable rules (per-field source of truth). Nothing fails silently.

What about support and updates after go-live?

Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration adjustments, plus a git repository handover so your team owns the code. Ongoing maintenance, version upgrades and enhancements can be arranged under a separate support agreement.

Can students log in to the LMS without a second password?

Yes. The connector includes an SSO launch handoff: from the Odoo portal a student or staff member gets a token/launch URL that drops them straight into the correct LMS course, so they don't manage separate credentials for day-to-day access.
