This connector is the upgrade.
The Shopify Premium Connector for Business Central is an AL-language extension we build to your requirements and install directly onto your tenant. It layers onto (and where needed, replaces) the standard Shpfy module using table extensions, page extensions and event subscribers — so the upgrade feels native inside the same Shopify pages, role centers and permission sets your team already knows.

Where native behavior must change, we override it cleanly inside the extension rather than modifying base application code.

Yes. Multi-store and multi-currency orchestration is core to the design. Each Shopify store or market can be routed to the correct BC company, currency, posting setup and inventory locations, with mappings you control from a configuration page. This is one of the main reasons merchants outgrow the free native connector.
Do you need access to our Business Central environment, and is it secure?
We develop against a sandbox copy of your environment and deploy the signed per-tenant extension through your normal admin process; you control the install. The extension uses scoped permission sets, runs background work through the Job Queue, and authenticates to Shopify with your store credentials stored per BC tenant. No customer data leaves your tenant except the Shopify API traffic the integration requires.
