Indian Shopify merchants live with a gap: Shopify's native tax engine collects GST percentages but does not produce a legally formatted GST tax invoice, does not split tax into CGST/SGST/IGST based on place of supply, and exports nothing you can hand to your CA for GSTR filing. The India GST Invoice & Compliance Suite closes that gap as a custom app ECOSIRE builds, installs and maintains on your store — not a generic App Store download.

We build a Shopify embedded app (Polaris UI, OAuth, App Bridge) that reads each order through the Admin GraphQL API and order-creation webhooks, determines intra-state vs inter-state supply from the seller GSTIN state code and the shipping state, and computes the correct CGST + SGST or IGST split per line item. HSN/SAC codes and per-HSN GST rates are stored in product and variant metafields, so every invoice line carries the right code and rate.

Generated GST tax invoices (B2C and B2B with buyer GSTIN) are produced as numbered PDFs following India's mandatory invoice fields, with credit notes for returns and refunds. A reporting dashboard exports GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-9-ready spreadsheets your accountant can reconcile. Multi-GSTIN / multi-location stores are supported by mapping each Shopify location to its registration and state code.

Because it is build-to-order, we scope your invoice template, GSTIN setup, HSN catalogue and report formats during onboarding, then deploy to your store. You get a defined delivery lead time, source-controlled code, and ongoing support for Shopify API and GST format changes. Is this an instant App Store install?

No. This is a build-to-order app. ECOSIRE builds it for your store, configures your GSTINs, HSN catalogue and invoice template, then installs it via OAuth. You are not downloading a generic listing — you get a version scoped to your registrations and accountant's rules.

How long does delivery take?

After purchase we run a short onboarding to scope your invoice fields, HSN codes and registrations, then build and install. A typical engagement is delivered in roughly 2 to 4 weeks depending on the number of GSTINs, locations and any custom report formats. We confirm a firm date once scope is agreed.

What ongoing support and updates are included?

The one-time build includes a support window covering bug fixes plus adjustments for Shopify Admin API changes and GST invoice/return format updates during that period. After it ends, ongoing maintenance and enhancements are available as an optional retainer. We hand over the source code so you are never locked in.

Does it file my GST returns automatically with the government portal?

No. We honestly do not auto-file. The app produces GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-9-ready exports structured for upload or for your CA to reconcile and file. Direct GSP/portal filing integration is out of scope for the base build but can be quoted separately.

Can it handle multiple GSTINs and B2B invoices with buyer GSTIN?

Yes. Each Shopify location is mapped to its registration and state code, and the place-of-supply logic uses those for the CGST/SGST/IGST split. B2B orders capture the buyer's GSTIN and legal name on a compliant tax invoice; B2C orders get a compliant retail invoice.
