Customs & Landed-Cost Calculator

This is a build-to-order app, not an instant App Store download. After purchase we schedule a short scoping call to confirm your destination markets, duty-data source and document templates, then build, install and smoke-test on a development store before going live. Typical delivery is 3–5 weeks depending on how many countries and trade lanes you need; we give you a firm timeline once scope is confirmed.

The $499 covers the one-time build, installation and initial handover. Because customs rules, IOSS thresholds and Shopify's checkout extension APIs change over time, we offer ongoing support and maintenance as a separate engagement — covering rule updates, duty-data changes, Shopify API-version upgrades and fixes. You own the install and are never charged a per-order fee; you choose whether to keep us on retainer or call us as needed.

We don't invent rates. The app integrates with a duty-data provider you specify (a commercial duty/tax API or a dataset you already license). We build the classification, calculation and display layer around that source so figures stay maintainable and you control accuracy and cost. We're happy to recommend providers, but the choice is yours.

Yes, where Shopify's platform allows it. We render landed cost using Shopify Functions and checkout UI extensions on plans that support them; on stores where those extensions aren't available, we provide a themed cart-page and pre-checkout display instead. We confirm exactly which surface applies to your plan during scoping so there are no surprises.

Yes. The app listens on orders/create and orders/paid webhooks and generates the commercial invoice and supporting customs documents automatically, populated from order, customer and HS-code data, with the correct IOSS/VAT references for the destination. Documents export as PDF/CSV for your carrier, broker or 3PL, and every generated document is logged for audit.

Yes. HS codes are stored in Shopify metafields and editable from the Admin, and we provide a configuration screen for per-country rules, de-minimis thresholds and restricted-item handling. You can override classifications and adjust rules without coming back to us for routine changes.
