The app registers as a Carrier Service through Shopify's Admin GraphQL API, so your customised rates appear live at checkout. When a buyer enters an address, Shopify calls our endpoint with the cart and destination; we geocode the address, calculate the road or radius distance from the nearest dispatch origin, evaluate your zip/zone, weight and dimensional rules, apply surcharges (fuel, oversize, remote-area), and return the precise quote — all within Shopify's carrier-service timeout.

Because you deliver heavy goods, the build accounts for what generic apps ignore: per-vehicle and per-route capacity limits, multi-warehouse origin routing driven by your multi-location inventory, and a delivery date and time-slot selector written to order metafields for your dispatch team. Rate and slot data export cleanly for route planning.

Every install is scoped to your catalog, fleet zones and theme. We provision the app via OAuth with least-privilege scopes, subscribe to orders/create and fulfilment webhooks, and hand over documentation plus a tested staging build before go-live.
