Workflow Automation Engine is a custom Shopify app that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports for your specific store — it is not an instant App Store download. After you order, our team scopes your automations, builds the app against your store, installs it via OAuth, and hands you a working engine with the workflows you actually need.
At its core is an event-driven trigger / condition / action builder. Workflows fire from real Shopify signals — orders/create, orders/paid, fulfillments/create, inventory_levels/update, customers/create and more — delivered through registered webhooks. Conditions evaluate order, customer, product and metafield data; actions then write back through the Admin GraphQL API: adding order tags, updating metafields, creating draft orders, sending notifications, or pushing data to external systems.
Where Shopify Flow stops, this engine keeps going. You get custom logic via Liquid-style scripting for branching no visual builder can express, scheduled and recurring tasks (cron-style runs Flow has no concept of), and cross-app actions that call your ERP, 3PL, helpdesk or messaging tools over their APIs.
Typical builds include automated order tagging, fraud and risk routing based on Shopify's risk signals, multi-location inventory alerts, VIP/repeat-customer flagging, and SLA-driven notifications. We ship a pre-built workflow library as a starting point and tailor each one to your operation.

关于Workflow Automation Engine的常见问题
How long does it take to build and install the app after I order?
This is a build-to-order app, not an instant download. After purchase we run a short scoping call to confirm your triggers, conditions and actions. A typical engine with a handful of workflows is built, installed via OAuth and verified within roughly 1 to 2 weeks. Heavier cross-app integrations (ERP, 3PL) can take longer, and we confirm the timeline in writing before we start.
How is this different from Shopify Flow?
Shopify Flow is a great visual automation tool, but it is bounded by its supported triggers and actions and has no concept of scheduled or recurring runs or arbitrary custom scripting. Workflow Automation Engine adds Liquid-style custom logic, cron-style scheduled tasks, and cross-app actions that call external APIs — covering the cases where Flow simply has no node for what you need.
What ongoing support and updates do I get?
After handover you own the installed app. ECOSIRE provides documentation plus an optional support retainer covering new workflow requests, adjustments to existing logic, and maintenance when Shopify changes its Admin API or webhook behavior. Without a retainer you can still request paid changes anytime; the app keeps running as built in the meantime.
What access does the app need on my store?
We install via standard Shopify OAuth and request only the scopes your workflows actually require — for example read/write on orders, products, inventory and metafields. We document exactly which scopes are granted and why, and you can revoke access at any time from your Shopify admin.
Can it talk to my ERP, 3PL or other tools?
Yes. Cross-app actions are a core reason merchants choose this over Flow. If your external system exposes an API or webhook, we can have a workflow push or pull data — for example syncing fulfillments to a 3PL or writing orders into an ERP. We confirm feasibility for your specific systems during scoping.
