Reconciling Shopify against QuickBooks Online by hand is where most merchants lose hours every month. Shopify reports gross sales, but your bank receives net payouts after processing fees, refunds, chargebacks and adjustments — and stitching those two views together in QBO is tedious and error-prone.

The QuickBooks Online Sync Connector for Shopify closes that gap. It is a private Shopify app we build to order, install on your store, and connect to your QuickBooks Online company for you. Using the Shopify Admin GraphQL API plus order, refund and payout webhooks, it captures every financial event the moment it happens and posts a clean, accountant-friendly record into QBO via the Intuit QuickBooks Online API.

The defining feature is payout-level reconciliation. For each Shopify Payments payout, the connector creates a matching deposit in QBO that breaks down gross sales, refunds, processing fees, taxes and adjustments — so the deposit lands exactly equal to your bank line and clears in one click. You choose summarized journal entries (one tidy entry per payout or per day) or per-order invoices/sales receipts when you need line-level detail.

It also keeps COGS and inventory in step by reading variant cost from Shopify and posting cost-of-goods entries, and it handles multi-store and multi-currency setups by mapping each store and currency to the right QBO accounts and classes.

Is this an instant App Store download?

No. This is a build-to-order private Shopify app. After purchase, ECOSIRE scopes your chart of accounts and sync rules, builds the connector, installs it on your store, and connects it to your QuickBooks Online company. You are not downloading a self-serve listing — you are getting a configured, installed integration.

How long does delivery take?

Typical delivery is about 1 to 2 weeks from the kickoff call, depending on the complexity of your chart of accounts, tax setup, number of stores and how much historical data you want backfilled. We confirm a firm timeline during scoping. Multi-store or multi-currency builds sit at the longer end.

What ongoing support and updates do I get?

Every build includes a post-launch support window for adjustments, plus help if Shopify or the QuickBooks Online API changes affect the integration. ECOSIRE maintains the connector — because we built it, we can adapt mappings, add stores, or change sync behaviour later. Extended support and retainer options are available.

Will it reconcile my Shopify Payments payouts correctly?

Yes — payout-level reconciliation is the core feature. For each payout, the connector posts a QBO deposit that breaks out gross sales, refunds, processing fees, taxes and adjustments, so the deposit matches your bank line exactly and clears in one click rather than as a lump sum you have to split by hand.

Can it handle multiple stores and currencies?

Yes. Multiple Shopify stores can sync into one or more QuickBooks Online companies, each with its own account mapping. For multi-currency, it maps presentment and settlement currencies and respects your QBO home currency so conversions and gains/losses land in the right place.

What if I want per-order detail instead of summaries?

You choose. Summarized mode posts one journal entry per payout or per day for clean books; per-order mode creates an individual invoice or sales receipt for each Shopify order when you need line-level detail or product-level reporting in QBO. We set this during configuration and can change it later.
