Yes. The module is built against Magento 2.4.x and works on both Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce, including setups using Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and split-database. Adobe Commerce-only constructs (such as B2B shared catalogs or company-account data) can be included in the mapping when you are on Commerce — we confirm exactly what is available on your edition during scoping.

No raw database access is ever granted. Looker Studio connects to a read-only HTTPS endpoint on your store using a Magento integration bearer token, scoped by a dedicated admin ACL resource and rate-limited so the BI feed never competes with storefront traffic. The module only reads; it does not modify core sales or catalog tables. Tokens can be rotated at any time from the admin panel, and you control which store-views are exposed.
