Supplying a major retailer like Decathlon or Asos means living by their portal and EDI rules: structured purchase orders, ASN deadlines, label and packaging compliance, and invoices that must match the PO to the line. Doing that by hand from Business Central — rekeying orders, exporting CSVs, chasing chargebacks for late or malformed ASNs — does not scale.
This connector is a build-to-order AL extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. ECOSIRE builds it to your specific retailer onboarding spec, installs it as a per-tenant extension on your BC environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), and supports it after go-live. It is not an instant AppSource download — it is engineered against the exact EDI/API profile each retailer hands you.
On the inbound side, retail purchase orders flow in via the retailer's API or EDI channel and post as Sales Orders in BC through event subscribers and a scheduled job queue entry — no portal rekeying. On the outbound side, the extension generates ASNs and dispatch confirmations from your shipment posting, and produces compliant invoices and credit notes mapped to the retailer's required fields. Catalog and price-list sync keeps your item and pricing data aligned with what the retailer expects, and the connector handles both drop-ship and vendor-fulfilled flows.
It uses native BC building blocks — table and page extensions, event subscribers, the BC REST/OData API, permission sets scoped to the integration role, and optional Dataverse / Power Platform hooks for dashboards and alerts — so it upgrades cleanly with your BC tenant. You own the source. ECOSIRE delivers it, deploys it, and stands behind it.

How long until it's live, and what do you need from me?
Typical delivery is roughly one working week from kickoff, depending on how many document types each retailer requires and how quickly we get test-endpoint access. We need your Decathlon/Asos vendor onboarding pack (EDI or API spec, credentials, required document profiles) and access to a Business Central sandbox tenant. We build and validate the full PO → ASN → invoice cycle in sandbox first, then schedule the production cutover with you.
Is this an AppSource app I can just install?
No. This is a build-to-order, per-tenant AL extension. It is engineered against your specific retailer's onboarding and EDI/API spec, then ECOSIRE installs it directly on your Business Central environment and supports it. There is no instant AppSource download — that is deliberate, because each retailer's document mapping and compliance rules differ.
How does ongoing support and updates work?
After go-live we provide a support window covering defects and configuration changes, and the extension is built to be upgrade-safe against Microsoft's BC release cadence (no base-object modification). When a retailer changes its EDI/API spec or adds a document type, we update the mappings under a support or change-request agreement. You also receive the full AL source, so your own team or any AL developer can maintain it.
Can it handle more than one retailer, or a third retailer later?
Yes. The connector is built around per-retailer configuration — endpoints, credentials, document profiles and field mappings live in BC setup tables driving one shared engine. Decathlon and Asos are configured at delivery; onboarding a third retailer reuses the same engine and is a configuration-plus-mapping effort rather than a rebuild.
What happens when a document fails to transmit?
Every inbound and outbound transaction is recorded in a message log with its raw payload and status. Failed messages are visible on a BC list page and can be reprocessed after correction. The job queue handles automatic retries with backoff, and optional Power Automate alerting can notify your team of a failed ASN or invoice so deadlines are not missed.
Does it modify our base Business Central application?
No base application objects are modified. The connector is delivered as a per-tenant extension using table extensions, page extensions and event subscribers, with its own scoped permission sets. This keeps your tenant clean and lets Microsoft's automatic updates apply without breaking the integration.
