Fleet Management for Business Central is a build-to-order extension — ECOSIRE engineers it in AL against your Business Central environment, installs it as a per-tenant extension (not a public AppSource download), and supports it after go-live. It gives fleet and operations managers a single source of truth for vehicles, maintenance, fuel and lifetime cost without bolting on a disconnected third-party system.
The extension adds a dedicated Vehicle Card and Vehicle List (new AL tables and pages), plus table extensions that link vehicles to your existing Item, Fixed Asset, Resource and Vendor records — so a truck can already exist as a Fixed Asset and still carry a full fleet profile. Preventive maintenance is driven by date and odometer thresholds, surfacing due and overdue work through the Job Queue and Business Central's native notification and reminder framework.
Fuel and expense entries post against each vehicle so total cost of ownership (purchase, fuel, maintenance, insurance, depreciation) rolls up into BC reports and Power BI via the standard OData/REST API. Driver assignments, insurance and registration renewals, and document attachments are tracked on the card itself.
Because it is real AL, the extension uses event subscribers rather than base-app modification, ships with its own permission sets, and survives Microsoft's monthly Business Central updates. What is the delivery lead time?
After a short scoping session to confirm your maintenance rules, cost categories and renewal types, a typical build runs about one working week depending on how many integrations (Fixed Assets, Power BI, Dataverse) you need. We confirm the exact timeline in writing before starting, build in a sandbox first, and only deploy to production once you've approved it.
How does ongoing support and Business Central updates work?
The extension uses event subscribers and table/page extensions rather than modifying the base app, so it is designed to survive Microsoft's monthly Business Central updates. Your purchase includes a post-deployment support window for bug fixes, and we offer a defined update path to recompile and re-validate the extension against future major BC versions.
Will it conflict with our existing Fixed Assets or other apps?
