The extension adds a drag-and-drop dispatch & scheduling board (page extensions over service orders and resource allocations) so dispatchers assign jobs by technician and time slot. Technicians get a mobile experience — delivered as a Power Apps canvas app on Dataverse or a hardened Business Central mobile profile, your choice — that works offline: job cards, parts (item journal / service lines) and labor (resource time) are captured in the field and synced through the Business Central REST/OData v4 API and Job Queue when the device reconnects.
On site, the technician captures a customer signature, then posts the service order to a draft or final invoice against your existing No. Series and VAT setup. Recurring maintenance contracts generate scheduled service orders automatically via Job Queue entries.

Is this an instant AppSource download?
No. This is a build-to-order solution. ECOSIRE builds it as a per-tenant AL extension tailored to your service items, resources and posting setup, then installs it on your Business Central sandbox and production environments. You are buying engineering, installation and support — not a self-serve marketplace app.
How long until it's live on our environment?
Typical delivery is about 3 to 5 weeks from kickoff: discovery of your service workflow, build of the dispatch board and mobile app, sandbox install, UAT with your dispatchers, then production cutover. Heavily customized contract logic or complex Dataverse integration can extend this; we confirm a firm lead time after the discovery call.
What happens with ongoing support and Business Central updates?
Because it is built in AL as table/page extensions and event subscribers with no base-app modification, the extension survives Business Central's monthly minor updates and major version upgrades cleanly. ECOSIRE includes a post-go-live support window for fixes and questions, and offers a continuing support agreement for upgrade regression checks, enhancements and new feature work.
Does the technician app really work with no internet?
Yes. The mobile layer is offline-first — the technician's assigned jobs, service items and price/parts data are cached on the device. Job cards, parts consumption, labor time and signatures are captured locally and synced to Business Central through the REST/OData v4 API and Job Queue the moment the device regains connectivity.
Do we need Power Platform licenses?
Only if you choose the Power Apps canvas app option for the mobile layer, which runs on Dataverse and reuses your existing Power Apps / Power Automate licensing. If you prefer to stay entirely inside Business Central, we deliver a hardened Business Central mobile profile instead. We help you pick the right option based on your existing Microsoft licensing during discovery.
Will this change our existing invoicing and accounting setup?
No. On-site invoicing posts through your existing Business Central configuration — your No. Series, VAT posting groups, dimensions and customer setup. The extension feeds the standard service-to-invoice flow rather than replacing it, so your finance team's reconciliation and reporting stay exactly as they are.
