Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central handles item variants, but it makes you enter them one line at a time on every sales, purchase and transfer order. For a fashion brand carrying a style in eight colors and seven sizes, that is 56 lines typed by hand for a single style. The Apparel & Footwear Matrix Pack replaces that grind with a true style/color/size matrix grid, plus the seasonal merchandising structure that core BC simply does not model.
This is not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE builds the extension in AL against your exact Business Central version, installs it as a per-tenant extension on your environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), configures it to your variant dimensions, and supports it after go-live.
What we build
We deliver matrix entry as page extensions on the Sales, Purchase and Transfer Order documents, backed by new AL tables for Season, Collection, and Size Range/Curve templates. Quantities entered in the matrix are written back to standard BC item ledger entries through documented APIs — no shadow inventory, so your costing, item availability and financials stay native and auditable.
Season and collection fields extend the Item table and flow onto documents and analysis views so you can slice sales by season the way merchandisers think. Size-range templates let buyers apply a size curve (e.g. 1-2-3-3-2-1) across a colorway in one action. Matrix availability and replenishment views read live BC inventory. Optional GS1-compliant variant barcode generation writes back to the item reference / barcode table.
Because it is standard AL with permission sets, event subscribers and job queue entries, it upgrades cleanly with your monthly BC updates and integrates with Power Platform / Dataverse if you need it.

ECOSIRE develops the extension in AL against your exact Business Central version and installs it as a per-tenant extension on your environment. You get source code and documentation, but there is no instant self-service download or invented AppSource link.
+How long does delivery take after I order?
Typical lead time is about 3 to 5 weeks from kickoff for the standard scope (matrix entry on sales, purchase and transfer documents, season/collection tracking, size curves, availability views and barcode generation). We confirm a firm timeline after a short scoping call where we review your BC version, variant structure and any PLM/EDI/e-commerce integrations. Added integrations extend the schedule and are quoted up front.
+What happens with ongoing support and Business Central monthly updates?
The extension is standard AL using table/page extensions and event subscribers, which upgrade cleanly with BC's monthly cumulative updates. ECOSIRE provides a support and update window after go-live to fix issues and re-validate the extension against new BC releases. Longer-term maintenance and enhancement is available as an optional agreement.
+Will matrix quantities mess up my inventory costing or financials?
No. The matrix is an entry layer only. Quantities you enter in the grid are written back to standard Business Central item ledger entries and sales/purchase lines through documented APIs. There is no parallel inventory store, so costing, item availability, posting and financial reporting all stay native and auditable.
+Can it connect to our PLM, EDI partners, e-commerce store or Power BI?
Yes. The season, collection and matrix data is exposed through Business Central OData / REST API endpoints so external PLM, EDI or e-commerce systems can read and write it. We can also wire optional Dataverse / Power Platform integration for Power BI seasonal dashboards or Power Apps line-sheet entry. These integrations are scoped and quoted as part of the build.
