اس مصنوع کے بارے میں
Most finance teams discover their credit exposure problem only after the invoice ages past due. In stock Odoo, the credit limit on the customer form is essentially advisory — the credit_limit field surfaces a warning banner on the sales order, but a salesperson can confirm an over-limit order anyway, and there is no gate, no sign-off trail, and no way to say "orders above X need the CFO, orders above Y need the controller." The result is revenue booked against customers who are already over their exposure ceiling, and a collections team that finds out weeks later. This is where the native behaviour runs out of road: Odoo gives you the number, but not the control loop around it.
We build a productized module that turns that advisory number into an enforced, multi-level approval workflow. On the technical side we extend sale.order with a computed exposure figure (@api.depends on order lines, confirmed-but-uninvoiced backlog, and open account.move receivables) compared against the customer's effective limit, and we block the standard action_confirm() when the order breaches it. Instead of confirming, the order transitions into a credit_hold state and raises an approval request routed by configurable tiers — for example line-manager up to one threshold, finance manager above it, and a final director sign-off beyond a hard ceiling. Each tier is defined as data (a small credit.approval.tier model) so thresholds, approver groups, and currency are configurable per company without touching code. Approvers act from their own dashboard or directly on the order; every decision writes to the chatter and to an immutable audit line (who, when, exposure at that moment, comment), and security is enforced with dedicated groups in ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so a salesperson can request but never self-approve.
The workflow is wired into the parts of Odoo your team already uses. Views are extended in XML (with an OWL status widget on the order header) so the hold state, current exposure, and pending approver are visible at a glance; automated actions and activity scheduling notify the right approver the moment an order goes on hold; a QWeb report gives finance a printable credit-approval sheet; and the whole thing is reachable over the standard XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API so an external portal or e-commerce front end triggers the same gate rather than bypassing it. We handle the Community vs Enterprise distinction explicitly — the core gate works on Community, and where your edition offers richer approvals or studio-based tiers we align to it rather than duplicate it — and we ship and test against Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0 with a clean, upgrade-safe __manifest__.py.
Because this is build-to-order, nothing is downloaded off a shelf. After a short scoping call we confirm your tier structure, exposure formula (do you count draft quotations, only confirmed backlog, overdue-only, etc.), approver groups, and edition, then build against a staging copy of your database. Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope, including UAT on staging and a rollback plan before anything touches production. Pricing starts from $999 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-company consolidation, multi-currency exposure aggregation, deeper ERP/credit-bureau integrations, and larger data-migration volumes increase the quoted scope. You receive a fixed quote after the scoping call, never a surprise later.
What you get

- UAT on a staging copy of your database with a documented rollback plan before production cutover
- Git repository handover with full commit history and tagged release
- Configuration workbook capturing your tier thresholds, exposure formula, and approver mappings
Who this is for
Finance Controller / CFO
Owns credit exposure and DSO. Needs a hard gate — not a dismissible warning — so no order above a customer's limit is confirmed without the right level of sign-off, with a defensible audit trail for every override.
Sales Operations Manager
Runs the order desk in Odoo and wants over-limit deals to keep moving without stalling. Needs clear on-order visibility of who must approve and instant routing so held orders don't sit unnoticed.
Odoo Administrator / Internal IT
Maintains the Odoo instance and cares about upgrade safety. Needs a clean module scoped to `sale`/`account`, proper security groups and record rules, and code that survives the next Odoo version bump.
Credit / Collections Analyst
Monitors receivables and aging. Needs exposure calculated consistently (backlog plus open invoices) at the moment of order confirmation, so the hold reflects real risk rather than a stale customer-form number.
How Customer Credit Limit With Approval Compares
| Criterion | ECOSIRE | Custom Build | Competitor | Odoo نیٹو |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Credit limit enforcement | Hard block at order confirmation, routed for approval | Whatever you build; often only a warning at first | Varies; may block but with fixed logic | Advisory warning only — order can still be confirmed |
| Multi-level approval tiers | Configurable tiers as data, per-company thresholds | Possible but you design and maintain it | Usually single-level or rigid tiers | No tiered credit approval on sales orders |
| Exposure calculation | Backlog + open receivables, formula agreed in scoping | Whatever you specify and implement | Fixed formula, rarely configurable | Static customer-form limit, no live aggregation |
| Audit trail | Immutable per-decision line + chatter + QWeb report | Only if you build logging in | Basic chatter note in most cases | No credit-decision audit trail |
| Self-approval prevention | Enforced via groups + record rules | Depends on your security design | Sometimes; not guaranteed | No approval concept to enforce |
| API / website bypass | Same gate on XML-RPC/JSON-RPC and portal orders | Must be handled deliberately or it leaks | Often only covers the backend UI | No gate exists to bypass |
| Odoo version support | Built and tested for 17.0 / 18.0 / 19.0 | You maintain compatibility each upgrade | Depends on vendor's version coverage | Ships with core, no extra workflow |
| Fit and support | Tailored to your rules, training + support window | Full ownership and maintenance on you | Generic fit, community/paid support tiers | Standard Odoo support only |
Frequently Asked Questions about Customer Credit Limit With Approval
Is this an existing app I can download and install today?
No. This is a build-to-order module. ECOSIRE scopes your credit tiers and exposure rules, then builds, installs, and supports the module for your specific Odoo instance. It is not an off-the-shelf apps.odoo.com download.
How long does delivery take?
Typical delivery is one working week from confirmed scope. The timeline starts once we agree your tier structure, exposure formula, approver groups, and Odoo edition on the scoping call, and includes UAT on staging before production cutover.
How does pricing and scoping work?
Pricing starts from an indicative $999 for a single-company base scope. Multi-company consolidation, multi-currency exposure, extra integrations, and data migration volume affect the final number. After a short scoping call you receive a fixed written quote — no surprise costs later.
What about support and future Odoo updates?
Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration tweaks. We test against Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, and can quote a version-upgrade migration when you move to a newer Odoo release so the credit workflow keeps working.
Does it work on Odoo Community or only Enterprise?
The core credit gate and multi-level approval workflow run on Community. Where your edition offers richer native approval tooling, we align the module to it rather than duplicate functionality. We confirm your exact edition during scoping.
Can salespeople approve their own over-limit orders?
No. Security is enforced with dedicated groups in `ir.model.access.csv` and record rules so a salesperson can request approval but never self-approve. Only members of the configured approver group for each tier can release the hold.
Will over-limit orders placed through our website or an API bypass the gate?
No. The block is enforced at the `action_confirm()` level and through the XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API, so orders created by an external portal or e-commerce front end pass through the same credit hold and approval routing as manually entered orders.

- Extends `sale.order` with a computed `@api.depends` exposure field aggregating draft, confirmed-uninvoiced, and open-receivable amounts per customer
- Blocks the standard `action_confirm()` for over-limit orders and transitions them into a dedicated `credit_hold` state instead of confirming
- Configurable multi-level approval tiers stored as data (`credit.approval.tier`) — thresholds, approver security groups, and currency set per company with no code changes
- Sequential approval routing: line-manager, finance manager, and director sign-off triggered by the exposure amount crossing each configured ceiling
