WhatsApp Notifications & Order Alerts is a build-to-order Magento 2 extension that moves your transactional and recovery messaging onto the channel customers in MENA, South Asia and LATAM actually open. Instead of relying on email (where deliverability and open rates collapse in WhatsApp-first markets), it fires templated WhatsApp messages the moment an order is placed, invoiced, shipped, cancelled or refunded via credit memo.

Technically, this is a real Magento module installed under app/code/Ecosire/WhatsAppNotifications. It hooks into the sales events you already emit — sales_order_place_after, sales_order_invoice_save_after, sales_order_shipment_save_after — through observers declared in events.xml, plus targeted plugins/interceptors where an observer is the wrong tool. Outbound delivery runs through a service contract (MessageSenderInterface) with two interchangeable gateway implementations bound in di.xml: Twilio's WhatsApp API and the WhatsApp Business Cloud API (Meta). Messages are queued and dispatched by cron, so a slow gateway never blocks checkout.
Per-event message bodies are editable admin templates with variables like {{customer_name}}, {{order_increment}}, {{tracking_number}} and {{store_url}}, governed by admin ACL so only authorized roles can edit them. An inbound message & contact log captures customer replies and inquiries in the admin grid.
