Natural-language queries over live Business Central data via the BC REST/OData v4 API and AL queries — no SQL, no export to a third-party tool
Permission-aware responses: every read and draft is scoped to the calling user's BC permission sets, so the copilot never returns data the user can't already see
Record drafting and field suggestions — the copilot pre-fills sales orders, purchase orders, contacts, items and journal lines for the user to review and confirm before commit
Document and knowledge grounding: your SOPs, policies, product sheets and PDFs are indexed so answers cite your own content rather than generic web text
Native Copilot framework integration — a PromptDialog / Copilot page and Role Center factbox that match the standard BC copilot UX
Guided actions and navigation: the copilot can open the right list, apply the right filter, or jump to a card from a plain-English request
AI Copilot Knowledge Assistant is a conversational copilot embedded directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Instead of teaching users where every list, filter and field lives, you give them a chat box: they ask "which customers in the GCC are over their credit limit?" or "draft a purchase order to Fabrikam for 50 units of item 1000" and the copilot answers — or pre-fills the record — using your live BC data and your own grounding documents.
This is not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE builds the extension to fit your tenant, installs it, and supports it. You buy the build; we deliver a working copilot on your environment.
The copilot ships as a per-tenant AL extension. We add a Copilot Page / PromptDialog page (or a Role Center factbox) wired through Business Central's native Copilot framework, plus table and page extensions to surface "Ask Copilot" actions where your users already work. Read access is brokered through the BC REST/OData v4 API and AL queries, never raw SQL. Grounding documents (SOPs, policy PDFs, product docs) are indexed and retrieved so the model answers from your knowledge, not the open internet.
Generation runs through your chosen gateway — Azure OpenAI Service via the Business Central AI module, or an external endpoint you nominate. Every response is permission-aware: the copilot only reads and drafts what the calling user's permission sets allow, so a salesperson never sees payroll. Record drafting uses standard AL write patterns with user confirmation before commit; longer indexing jobs run on the job queue. Where you use Power Platform, we can extend grounding into Dataverse.
You keep the code, the permission model and the data residency. ECOSIRE warrants it works on your version and supports it after go-live.
Wants conversational help and faster data entry — asks the copilot to find records, summarize a customer, or draft an order instead of navigating menus and building filters by hand.
Needs quick, plain-English answers over BC data (overdue balances, stock positions, open POs) without waiting on a report request, while trusting that permission boundaries are respected.
Owns the tenant and wants the copilot delivered as a clean per-tenant extension with auditable permission scoping and generation routed through their own governed Azure OpenAI Service.
Buy the license on ecosire.com and download the AI Copilot Knowledge Assistant module ZIP from your account dashboard.
Extract the ZIP into your Odoo custom addons folder on the server (or upload via Apps > Install from file on Odoo.sh / runbot).
Activate Developer Mode, open Apps, click Update Apps List, search for AI Copilot Knowledge Assistant, and press Install.
Open the new menu, paste your ECOSIRE license key, connect any external credentials (Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, etc.), and save.
Run the built-in connection test, sync your first 10 records, and schedule the recurring cron. Contact support if anything fails.

Typical delivery is about 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff. We first install and validate on your sandbox: wiring the copilot framework, the OData read paths, your permission mapping and your grounding documents. After you sign off on the sandbox, we install to production. Lead time depends on how many tables and document sources you want in scope and how quickly your Azure OpenAI Service access is provisioned.
Because this is a per-tenant extension we built, ECOSIRE supports it on your environment: bug fixes, permission-scope adjustments and recompiles to stay compatible with Business Central monthly and major version updates. The one-time $499 build covers delivery and initial support; longer-term maintenance and feature additions are handled under a support agreement we'll scope with you. You keep the source code, so you're never locked in.
No. Every read and every draft is brokered under the calling user's Business Central permission sets. The copilot uses the same authorization layer as the rest of BC, so a user can only query or draft against records they could already open manually. We map this explicitly during setup and you control which tables and pages are in scope.
Generation is routed through Azure OpenAI Service via the Business Central AI module, or another endpoint you nominate — keys live in your tenant. Your BC data is retrieved through the OData API at query time and your grounding documents are indexed within your environment. We design it so prompts and data stay within your governed Azure boundary rather than going to a public consumer AI service.
It is not a public AppSource listing — it's a per-tenant extension we build specifically for you, so there's no instant download. That's also why it's customizable: you choose which tables, pages and document sources are in scope, what records it may draft, and how the Role Center actions appear. Because you receive the AL source, your team or ours can extend it later.
