Receive a commerce operations signal, validate its source and required fields, resolve catalog, cart and order, apply the approval control decision rules, write the approved state, then record a correlated audit result. The source event is commerce.approve.requested; the resulting audit event is commerce.approve.recorded. The mapped business surface is catalog, cart and order.

Technical approach

The scoped design may use REST Management APIs, GraphQL Storefront API, signed webhooks, Stencil theme extensions, Catalyst storefront components.
