Manual re-entry of WooCommerce sales into your accounting system is slow, error-prone and breaks every time you change a tax rate or add a payment gateway. QuickBooks & Xero Accounting Sync for WooCommerce removes that work entirely. It listens to WooCommerce order lifecycle hooks (woocommerce_order_status_completed, woocommerce_order_refunded, woocommerce_payment_complete) and maps each event to the correct document in QuickBooks Online or Xero — an invoice, a sales receipt, a credit note, or a payment — using the official QuickBooks Online and Xero accounting APIs over OAuth 2.0.

This is not a one-click marketplace download. ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports the plugin on your WordPress site, configured to your chart of accounts, tax codes, product/SKU mapping and payout reconciliation rules. We handle the OAuth connection, the account mapping, and the edge cases that off-the-shelf connectors leave to you.

What it syncs: every completed WooCommerce order becomes an invoice or sales receipt; line items, shipping, tax and gateway fees map to the ledger accounts you nominate; refunds create matching credit notes; customers are matched or created; and gateway payouts (Stripe, PayPal) are reconciled against bank deposits so your books actually balance.

Built for HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage) and the classic post-based order tables alike, it uses the WooCommerce REST API internally and queues syncs through WP-Cron (or a real system cron we configure) so checkout is never slowed by an external API call. A wp-admin settings panel gives you account mapping, a sync log, manual re-push, and conflict handling. WPML and WooCommerce multisite stores are supported. Failed syncs are retried with backoff and surfaced in the admin, never lost silently.

How long does it take to build and go live?

Does it support QuickBooks and Xero, or do I have to choose?

The plugin is built to target one accounting system per store — either QuickBooks Online or Xero — because the document models and APIs differ. We configure it for whichever you use. If you migrate accounting platforms later, we re-point the integration as a scoped change rather than a full rebuild.

Will it work with HPOS and my existing payment gateways?

Yes. It is built for WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (custom order tables) as well as the legacy post-based orders, and it maps gateway fees and payouts for common gateways such as Stripe and PayPal so deposits reconcile against bank feeds. If you use a gateway we haven't mapped before, we add support as part of the build.

Will syncing slow down my checkout?

No. Accounting documents are created asynchronously through WP-Cron — or a real system cron we configure for reliability — so the external QuickBooks/Xero API call never runs during the customer's checkout request. Failed syncs are retried automatically with backoff and surfaced in the wp-admin sync log so nothing is lost silently.

Can it back-sync my historical WooCommerce orders?

Yes, within an agreed scope. We can push a defined batch of past completed orders and refunds so your ledger has continuity, then switch on live forward sync. Very large historical ranges are quoted separately because of accounting-API rate limits and the reconciliation review involved.
