Smart Payment Method Reordering & A/B Testing for WooCommerce lets you control gateway order, default selection and placement experiments by segment, then proves what actually lifts conversion with real per-gateway data.
This is a build-to-order plugin: ECOSIRE builds it for your specific WooCommerce stack, installs it on your WordPress site, and supports it after launch. It is not an instant WooCommerce.com or WordPress.org download — we tailor it to your active gateways, theme and checkout type (classic shortcode or the WooCommerce Checkout block).
Under the hood it hooks woocommerce_available_payment_gateways to re-sort and filter the methods WooCommerce renders, sets a segment-aware default chosen gateway, and runs deterministic A/B variant assignment (hashed, cookie-stable) so a returning shopper always sees the same arm. Segmentation reads country (via geolocation or billing), device type, cart total and customer tags. Every checkout records the assigned variant, the gateway chosen and whether the order completed, written to HPOS-compatible custom order tables and surfaced in a wp-admin analytics screen with per-gateway conversion and statistical-significance flags.
We add per-method icons and trust badges, configurable through wp-admin, and expose results over the WooCommerce REST API so you can pull them into your own BI. It plays nicely with WPML/Polylang and multisite, and all experiment data stays on your own database — no third-party tracking. You decide the segments and hypotheses; the plugin handles assignment, rendering and measurement.

How long until it's built and live on my site?
Because this is built-to-order, typical delivery is about one working week from the time we have access to your staging site and the list of your active gateways and target segments. Do I get ongoing support and updates?

Will this work with my existing payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal or a regional gateway?
Yes. The plugin hooks WooCommerce's woocommerce_available_payment_gateways filter, so it reorders and default-selects whatever gateways are already registered and available — Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, regional bank-transfer or wallet gateways, all the same. It does not replace or proxy your gateways or touch the payment processing itself; it only controls order, default selection and measurement. We confirm your specific gateways during scoping.
Is it compatible with HPOS, the Checkout block, and WPML/multisite?
It is built HPOS-first, storing variant and gateway-choice data in WooCommerce's custom order tables rather than legacy postmeta. Classic shortcode checkout is supported out of the box; WooCommerce Checkout block support is included and validated per build since the block renders gateways differently. WPML/Polylang and multisite are supported — we test against your exact language and network setup on staging before go-live.
Does the A/B testing skew results or create a confusing experience for repeat visitors?
No. Variant assignment is deterministic and cookie-stable: each visitor is hashed into one arm and stays there across sessions, so a returning shopper never sees the payment order flip mid-journey. Existing gateway availability rules (minimum/maximum amounts, country restrictions) are always respected, so an experiment can never offer a gateway WooCommerce would otherwise hide. Significance flags tell you when a difference is real rather than noise.
