Fawry is how a large share of Egyptian shoppers actually pay — at a corner-shop outlet, a pharmacy, or through a banking app, using a reference code rather than a card. WooCommerce core ships no Fawry support, and generic gateways assume an instant card authorization that does not match Fawry's pay-later, pay-at-outlet flow. This plugin closes that gap.

ECOSIRE builds a dedicated gateway by extending WC_Payment_Gateway and registering it through the woocommerce_payment_gateways filter, so Fawry appears natively in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments. At checkout the customer chooses Fawry, the plugin calls the Fawry charge API, and the order is placed in an on-hold status with the payment reference number stored in order meta and shown on the thank-you page and order email. The shopper pays at any Fawry outlet or in their banking app; Fawry's server then hits a dedicated callback/webhook endpoint registered via the WordPress REST API (register_rest_route) or a WooCommerce API callback. The plugin verifies the signature hash, confirms the amount and reference, and transitions the order to processing/completed — no manual reconciliation.

It is built HPOS-aware (WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage / custom order tables), supports cards and mobile wallets, and can expose Fawry installment plans where your merchant account allows. Settings cover live/test merchant codes, the security key, currency, and order-status mapping, all in wp-admin.
