QuickBooks Online Sync for Shopify is a build-to-order integration that turns the daily noise of Shopify sales into audit-clean, reconciled accounting inside QuickBooks Online (QBO). Instead of importing every order as a messy invoice that never matches your bank, it posts payout-level summary journal entries that tie out, line by line, to each Shopify Payments deposit landing in your bank feed.
Subscribes to Shopify Admin API (GraphQL) order, refund and payout webhooks for near-real-time capture
Posts payout-level summary journal entries that reconcile to each Shopify Payments bank deposit
Maps gross sales, discounts, shipping, gift cards and tips into dedicated QBO accounts
Books Shopify Payments and third-party gateway fees to a processing-fee expense account
Per-line tax mapping to QuickBooks Online tax codes and tax agencies
Handles full and partial refunds and chargebacks as reversing entries that stay reconciled
What it does. ECOSIRE builds a private app against the Shopify Admin API (GraphQL) that subscribes to order, refund and payout webhooks, then maps every economic event — gross sales, discounts, shipping, gateway and processing fees, refunds, gift cards, and per-line tax — into the correct QBO accounts and tax codes via the QuickBooks Online API (OAuth 2.0). A scheduled daily sync with automatic error retry keeps everything current, and a reconciliation view matches each Shopify payout to its QBO deposit so your bookkeeper can close the month in minutes.
Who it's for. North American Shopify merchants — and the bookkeepers and accountants who keep their books — who are tired of A2X-style subscriptions, brittle CSV imports, or apps that don't handle multi-store, multi-currency, or COGS the way their CPA needs.
How it's delivered. This is not an instant Shopify App Store download. ECOSIRE scopes your chart of accounts and tax setup, builds the integration to your exact mapping, installs it on your store and QBO company, runs a historical backfill if you want one, and supports it after launch. You get a working, reconciled pipeline — not a DIY config project. The price is a one-time build fee; ongoing support and adjustments are handled directly with our team.
Runs one or more North American Shopify stores and wants books that match the bank without paying a per-order subscription. Needs deposits to reconcile and taxes to be right at filing time.
Closes the month for Shopify clients and needs payout-level journal entries, correct tax codes, and clean refund handling in QBO — not thousands of unmatched invoices to chase.
Operates several Shopify stores or sells across currencies and needs consolidated, FX-aware postings into one or more QuickBooks Online companies.

No. This is a build-to-order integration. ECOSIRE builds a private app against the Shopify Admin API and your QuickBooks Online company, maps it to your exact chart of accounts and tax codes, installs it, and supports it. There is no instant self-serve download or public App Store listing.
After purchase we schedule a short scoping call to confirm your chart of accounts, tax setup, and store/currency configuration. A typical single-store build is delivered and reconciling within a few business days; multi-store, multi-currency, COGS, or historical-backfill builds take longer. We confirm a firm timeline before development starts.
Rather than importing every order as an invoice, we post payout-level summary journal entries. Each entry corresponds to a Shopify Payments payout, so when that deposit hits your bank feed it matches a single QBO entry — fees, refunds and taxes already broken out into the right accounts.
Yes. The one-time build fee covers building, installing and verifying the integration. After go-live ECOSIRE monitors the sync, fixes any failed or unmatched entries, and adjusts mappings or adapts to Shopify/QBO API changes as part of ongoing support arranged directly with our team.
Yes. Refunds and partial refunds are posted as reversing entries tied to the original sale and payout, and chargebacks are booked so your accounts and tax stay accurate. Postings are idempotent, so retries never create duplicates.
Yes. We can consolidate several Shopify stores into one or more QuickBooks Online companies and handle multi-currency sales with configurable exchange-rate and FX gain/loss treatment, mapped to accounts your accountant approves.
