Typical delivery is about 5–10 business days for a standard age-gate configuration. Adding third-party document/ID (KYC) verification or complex multi-region rule sets can extend that. We confirm a firm timeline with you during scoping before any build work begins.

Each build includes a defined post-launch support window for fixes and minor rule adjustments. Because Shopify periodically updates Checkout Extensibility and Admin API versions, we offer ongoing maintenance to keep the extension compatible and your rules current — the terms are agreed in writing at scope time so there are no surprises.

Yes. For higher-risk SKUs we integrate a third-party KYC/ID-verification provider (such as Persona or Veriff, or one you already use) through their API and write the pass/fail result to order metafields. The plain date-of-birth or self-attestation gate is also available where document checks aren't required.

Client-side checks alone can be tampered with, so we reinforce enforcement server-side. An orders/create webhook plus the Admin GraphQL API let the app detect an order that skipped verification and flag, hold, or cancel it, and every decision is recorded in the audit log.

Yes. The gate is built as a Checkout UI Extension, which is Shopify's supported, checkout-integrity-safe way to add steps to checkout, including on Plus. It renders natively in the checkout flow rather than redirecting buyers to an external page.
