E-Signature for Orders & Contracts is a custom Shopify app that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports for your store — it is not an instant App Store download. For B2B and high-ticket merchants, the gap between a quote and a paid order is usually a signed agreement. This app closes that gap inside Shopify instead of bouncing customers into a separate signing tool.

We build an embedded admin app (Shopify App Bridge + Polaris) authenticated via OAuth, reading and writing through the Admin GraphQL API. Documents are assembled from templates with merge fields — pulling order, draft-order, customer and line-item data so a wholesale agreement or order contract is pre-filled with the right party names, totals, SKUs and terms. Signing requests fire automatically from store events: a new draft order, an order tagged for contract, or a fulfillment hold, all wired through Shopify webhooks (draft_orders/create, orders/create, orders/updated).

Every signature produces a tamper-evident record — signer identity, email, timestamp, IP and a document hash — and a completion certificate bound to the final PDF. Signed PDFs are stored against the order and exposed in admin, with the signature state mirrored to order metafields so your theme, Flow automations and reports can react (release fulfillment, show "Contract signed", trigger an invoice).

You also get reminders and status tracking (sent / viewed / signed / declined), so deals don't stall in someone's inbox.

Is this an instant app I can install from the Shopify App Store right now?

No. This is a build-to-order app. ECOSIRE builds it to your specification, then installs it on your store via OAuth. You buy the build, we scope your document types and workflow with you, then deliver and install a working app — there is no public App Store listing to one-click download.

How long does delivery take?

Lead time depends on scope. A standard configuration — one or two document templates, event triggers and signed-PDF storage — is typically delivered in about 2 to 4 weeks from the kickoff scoping call. More signer roles, custom legal clauses, multi-language documents or deep Shopify Flow automations extend that. We confirm a firm timeline in writing before work starts, and we don't promise a date we can't hit.

Are the signatures legally binding?

The app captures legally-binding electronic signatures with a tamper-evident audit trail — signer identity, email, timestamp, IP address and a document hash — plus a completion certificate bound to the final PDF, which is the evidence courts look for under e-signature laws like the US ESIGN/UETA and EU eIDAS. We build to support those standards, but we are not your lawyer: for regulated or high-stakes contracts, have your own counsel confirm the workflow meets your jurisdiction's requirements.

How does it connect to my orders and quotes?

It uses the Shopify Admin GraphQL API and webhooks. Document templates are merged with live order, draft-order, customer and line-item data, and signing requests can fire automatically on events like draft_orders/create or orders/updated, or when you apply a specific order tag. Signature status is written back to order metafields so your theme, reports and Shopify Flow can react — for example releasing fulfillment once a contract is signed.

What support and updates do I get after launch?

Every build includes a defined post-launch support window for bug fixes and questions, plus documentation and an admin walkthrough for your team. Because Shopify evolves its APIs and webhook versions, we offer ongoing maintenance to keep the app compatible and to add new templates, triggers or signer flows as your business changes.
