Odoo Community ships a lean payroll foundation: employee contracts, a basic salary-rule engine, and payslip generation. In practice, growing teams outrun it fast. The out-of-the-box salary structures cannot easily express real-world policy — pro-rated joiners and leavers, graduated overtime bands, attendance-driven deductions, arrears and back-pay, statutory ceilings, loan and advance recovery schedules, or multi-component allowances that interact with one another. Payslip PDFs are generic, batch runs offer little visibility, and consolidated reporting for finance and compliance simply isn't there. The gap is even wider on Community, where the Enterprise payroll app and its localization packs aren't available at all. This is where teams hit a wall and start doing payroll in spreadsheets alongside Odoo — which defeats the point of running an ERP.
Payroll Advanced Features is a made-to-order Odoo module that ECOSIRE builds specifically to close that gap for your pay policies. Technically, we extend the payroll domain the Odoo way: new and inherited models.Model classes for salary rules, structures, and payslip lines, with computed fields driven by @api.depends and clean compute methods so amounts recalculate deterministically. We add configurable rule parameters and Python-safe rule expressions so your HR team can adjust rates and thresholds without a developer, layer in overtime bands, prorating logic, ceiling caps, and recovery scheduling for loans and advances, and wire attendance or timesheet inputs into worked-days and deduction lines. Everything is packaged as a proper module — a versioned __manifest__.py, ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so payroll data is visible only to authorized HR and finance roles, XML/OWL views and menus for configuration, and QWeb templates for branded, itemized payslips.
On top of the calculation engine we build the reporting and automation that make payroll operational: consolidated payslip registers, cost-by-department and cost-by-analytic breakdowns, period-over-period comparisons, and export-ready summaries for your accountant. Where useful we add automated actions and scheduled jobs — for example generating a monthly batch, flagging exceptions before confirmation, or posting payroll journal entries — and we can expose the results through Odoo's XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API so downstream systems (bank files, government portals, BI tools) can pull clean data. Because it's your own module, it coexists with your existing HR, attendance, and accounting apps rather than fighting them.
Delivery is build-to-order, not an instant download. After a short scoping call we document your salary structures, statutory rules, and edge cases, then confirm the scope in writing. Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope depending on policy complexity and how many structures and localizations are involved. We develop against your target Odoo version (17.0, 18.0, or 19.0 Community), validate on a staging database with your real sample data during UAT, and only then install to production with a rollback plan. You receive the full source, documentation, training, and a post-go-live support window.
Pricing starts from $249 (indicative, single-company base scope); additional salary structures, statutory localization depth, multi-company setups, and attendance or third-party integrations increase the quoted scope. We give you a fixed quote after the scoping call — never a surprise on the invoice.
Runs monthly payroll inside Odoo but has outgrown the basic salary-rule engine. Needs prorating, overtime bands, loan recovery, and accurate deductions without exporting to spreadsheets each cycle.
Owns payroll cost accuracy and journal posting. Wants consolidated registers, cost-by-department breakdowns, and clean journal entries that reconcile with the general ledger automatically.
Responsible for the Odoo deployment and its maintainability. Wants a properly structured module with tested code, record-rule security, and a git handover rather than brittle server-side tweaks.
Scaling headcount and can't justify Enterprise payroll or a separate payroll system. Needs Community payroll extended to match real pay policy, delivered on a fixed budget and timeline.
| 基準 | エコシエール | カスタムビルド | 競合他社 | オドゥー ネイティブ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fit to your pay policy | Built to your exact salary structures, statutory rules, and edge cases | Fully bespoke, but you own the design risk | Generic feature set; you bend policy to fit it | |
| Odoo Community support | Purpose-built for Community 17/18/19 payroll gaps | Possible, depends on your developer's Odoo depth | Varies; many target Enterprise or a single version | |
| Advanced calc (prorating, overtime, recovery) | Included and tuned to your bands, ceilings, and schedules | Achievable but built from scratch each time | Partial; fixed logic, limited configurability | |
| Reporting & cost analysis | Consolidated registers plus cost-by-department/analytic | Whatever you commission and pay to build | Usually basic payslip output only | |
| Security & data access | Role-scoped via ir.model.access.csv and record rules | Depends on developer discipline | Generic access model, often coarse-grained | |
| Timeline & cost predictability | Fixed quote and 2–4 week delivery after scoping | Open-ended; scope and cost tend to drift | Fast to install but rework if it doesn't fit | |
| Ownership & lock-in | Full source and git repo handover to you | You own it, if properly delivered | Vendor-controlled code and licensing | |
| Support & upgrades | Post-go-live window plus optional maintenance and upgrades | Only if you retain the developer | Tied to the vendor's roadmap and terms |
No. This is a build-to-order module. ECOSIRE scopes, builds, installs, and supports it for your specific pay policies. There is no instant download — the deliverable is your own module, developed against your requirements and your target Odoo version.
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. Timing depends on the number of salary structures, statutory rules, localizations, and integrations involved. We agree the timeline in writing after the scoping call, before development starts.

We build for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0 Community. Because Community lacks the Enterprise payroll app and localization packs, this module is designed to add the advanced payroll capabilities you'd otherwise be missing on Community.
Every engagement includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration adjustments. Beyond that we offer optional support and maintenance, including version upgrades if you later move to a newer Odoo release. You also receive the full source and git repository, so you're never locked in.
Yes. We extend the payroll domain using inherited models and standard Odoo mechanisms, so the module coexists with your HR, attendance, timesheet, and accounting apps. Attendance and timesheet inputs can feed worked-days and deductions, and payroll can post journal entries into Odoo Accounting.
Yes. We expose configurable rule parameters and Python-safe rule expressions so your HR team can update rates, thresholds, and bands from the interface. Structural changes to the calculation logic are covered under support or a follow-on scope.
