Every team running Odoo eventually hits the same wall: activities are everywhere and visible nowhere. Odoo's native mail.activity model attaches to-dos, calls, and follow-ups to individual records — a lead, an invoice, a task, a manufacturing order — but there is no single, prioritized surface that shows a person or a manager everything that is due, overdue, or coming up across every model at once. The Activities kanban and the systray counter help, yet they fragment the moment work spans Sales, Helpdesk, Projects, and Accounting. Technically, we layer a consolidated dashboard over mail.activity and mail.activity.type, joined to res.users and res.partner, with computed fields (@api.depends-driven priority, aging buckets, and overdue flags) so every record classifies itself as Today, Overdue, Planned, or Done. We add a shared-participants relation (a Many2many to res.users) so an activity is no longer owned by exactly one person — a call or review can be co-assigned, watched, and reassigned without losing the audit trail on the underlying record's chatter. A multi-activity management view lets a lead reschedule, reassign, or mark done in bulk across many source records at once, which native Odoo simply does not offer.
Under the hood we keep it clean and upgrade-safe: a proper __manifest__.py with pinned dependencies (mail, base), models in models/ extending rather than overwriting core, OWL/XML views with search, list, kanban, and pivot presentations, plus a graph/pivot reporting layer for load-per-user and overdue-by-team analysis.
