This extension adds native Apple Pay and Google Pay wallet buttons exactly where intent peaks — the product detail page, the mini-cart and cart page, and the checkout — so a buyer can complete an order in one tap, with shipping address, contact details and billing pulled straight from the wallet sheet.
ECOSIRE builds this as a proper Magento 2 module under app/code/Ecosire/ExpressWallet, wired through di.xml with plugins/interceptors on the checkout layout and a custom payment method implementing Magento's payment service contracts. The wallet buttons render via UI components in the checkout requirejs-config/layout XML and standalone blocks on PDP and cart, so they survive theme upgrades. Settlement is gateway-routed — we integrate Apple Pay and Google Pay through your existing processor (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree/PayPal, Checkout.com or Authorize.Net), so funds land in the account you already reconcile and no new PCI scope is introduced (the wallet returns a tokenized payload).
The build includes the Apple Pay domain verification helper: we host the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file on the correct well-known path and walk your merchant ID and certificate setup. Order placement runs through the standard quote-to-order flow, so taxes, shipping rates, coupons, inventory (MSI) and order emails all behave normally. Does this work with my payment gateway?
Yes — settlement is gateway-routed. Apple Pay and Google Pay return a tokenized payment, which we pass to your existing processor (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree/PayPal, Checkout.com or Authorize.Net are common). Funds settle in the account you already reconcile. If your gateway isn't listed, tell us and we'll confirm wallet support before you buy.
Will it break when I upgrade my theme or Magento?
No core files are edited. The module lives in app/code and uses di.xml plugins/interceptors plus its own layout XML and UI components, so it's isolated from theme and Magento minor upgrades. We test against Luma and Hyvä. Major version jumps (e.g. 2.4.x to a new release line) may need a compatibility pass, which we handle under support or as a small follow-on.
Does Apple Pay require anything special to go live?
Apple Pay requires domain verification: an apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file served from your site's .well-known path, plus an Apple merchant ID and payment processing certificate tied to your gateway. Our domain verification helper deploys the file to the correct path and we walk the merchant ID/certificate setup with you, so the button passes Apple's checks before launch. Google Pay needs no domain file but requires your gateway's Google Pay merchant credentials, which we configure.
