Mollie Gateway for Shopify (Europe) is a build-to-order payment integration that connects your Shopify checkout to your own Mollie account, so NL, BE and DE shoppers pay with the methods they actually trust — iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit and SOFORT — alongside cards and wallets, all settled in EUR.

This is not an instant App Store download. ECOSIRE builds, installs and configures the integration for your specific store, theme and Mollie profile, then hands it over working. We wire Shopify's checkout to Mollie's payment API, register the webhooks that confirm paid, failed, expired and chargeback statuses, and reconcile each transaction back to the correct Shopify order so financial status, fulfillment triggers and customer notifications all fire correctly.

Under the hood we use the Shopify Admin GraphQL API and a secure OAuth app install to read orders, write transaction records and update payment status. Refunds and partial captures are handled from Shopify Admin and pushed to Mollie, so your finance team never logs into two systems to issue a partial refund. Where useful, we store the Mollie payment ID on order metafields for clean reconciliation and reporting.

How long until my Mollie gateway is live after I buy?

This is a build-to-order product, not an instant download. Typical delivery is 5 to 10 business days from when we receive access to your Shopify store and confirm your Mollie account is active. Timeline depends on your theme complexity and how quickly access is granted. We agree a delivery date during onboarding before any work starts.

What happens to support and updates after handover?

Every build includes 30 days of support for fixes and configuration adjustments. After that, you can take an optional ongoing support arrangement. When Shopify or Mollie ship a breaking API or webhook change, we patch the integration for supported clients — that maintenance relationship is the main reason merchants choose a built-and-supported solution over an unmaintained off-the-shelf app.

Do I need my own Mollie account?

Yes. The integration connects to your own Mollie merchant account, so settlement, fees, KYC and payouts all run through your relationship with Mollie. We configure the connection, webhooks and supported methods; we do not resell Mollie or hold your funds. If you don't have an account yet, we can guide you through creating one.

Can it handle refunds and partial captures from Shopify?

Yes. Refunds and partial captures are issued from Shopify Admin and synced to Mollie automatically, so your team works in one place. Each transaction is reconciled back to the originating Shopify order, and the Mollie payment ID is stored on the order's metafields for accounting.

Will all the local methods (iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA, SOFORT) work in one setup?

Yes. It's a single EU multi-method integration: one configuration against your Mollie profile exposes every supported local method plus cards and wallets, rather than installing a separate app per method.
