Mercado Pago is Latin America's most-used payment gateway — and Shopify has no native, region-wide Mercado Pago integration for most LatAm stores. This product closes that gap. ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports a Mercado Pago payment integration tailored to your Shopify store and the countries you actually sell in (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile).

This is not an instant App Store download. After purchase, our engineers connect your Mercado Pago merchant account to your store, configure the checkout flow, wire up webhooks, and hand you a tested, production-ready integration. What the build covers: credit/debit card payments and the Mercado Pago wallet, interest-free installments (cuotas) so shoppers can split purchases, OXXO cash vouchers for unbanked Mexican buyers, and local-currency settlement so you're paid in MXN, ARS, BRL or CLP. We integrate Mercado Pago's Checkout API and IPN/webhook notifications with Shopify so that payment status, captures and refunds stay in sync with your Shopify orders.

How long does delivery take, and what happens after I buy?

This is a build-to-order integration, not an instant download. After purchase we schedule a short kickoff to collect your Mercado Pago account access and the countries you sell in, then build, test in sandbox, and install on your live store. A typical engagement runs about 1 to 3 weeks depending on how many LatAm markets, currencies and payment methods (cards, cuotas, OXXO) you need. You'll get a confirmed timeline at kickoff.

Do I get ongoing support and updates after launch?

Yes. Every build includes a post-launch support window for fixes and questions. Mercado Pago and Shopify both evolve their APIs, so we offer ongoing maintenance to keep webhooks, checkout flows and the Admin GraphQL integration working as those platforms change. We'll quote a maintenance arrangement that fits your volume rather than leaving you on your own after go-live.

Do I need my own Mercado Pago account?

Yes. You provide and own your Mercado Pago merchant account; we connect it to Shopify via OAuth. Settlement goes directly to your account in local currency (MXN, ARS, BRL or CLP). We never hold your funds or your credentials in theme code.

Can shoppers pay in installments (cuotas) and with OXXO?

Yes. Interest-free and bank installments (cuotas) are configurable per country and card, and OXXO cash vouchers are supported for buyers in Mexico, including voucher status sync so the order updates when the voucher is paid. Which methods are enabled depends on what your Mercado Pago account is approved for in each country.

Why not just use a free App Store app or Shopify's native payments?

Shopify's native payment options don't offer region-wide Mercado Pago coverage for most LatAm stores, and off-the-shelf apps are generic — they rarely handle multi-country acquiring, cuotas and OXXO together, and they aren't tailored to your catalog, currencies or reconciliation needs.
