Multi-Vendor Marketplace with Commissions turns a single-merchant Magento 2 storefront into a full multi-seller marketplace — the Amazon/Etsy model — where independent sellers register, list their own catalog, manage their own orders and inventory, and get paid out net of a commission you control.

This is a build-to-order extension, not an instant Adobe Commerce Marketplace download. ECOSIRE engineers the module against your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce version, installs it into app/code/Ecosire/Marketplace, wires it into your theme and checkout, then deploys and supports it on your server. You get real code you own — no per-seat SaaS rent.

Architecturally it is a clean Magento module: a seller entity with its own EAV/flat tables and service contracts, a customer-facing seller dashboard built on the Magento UI component framework, and a commission engine implemented with plugins (interceptors) on the order and invoice flow plus observers on sales_order_invoice_pay so that vendor earnings and platform commission are calculated and ledgered the moment money is captured. Per-product and per-category rules are resolved through a deterministic precedence chain (product rule → category rule → seller rule → global default), each expressible as a fixed amount or a percentage.

Sellers self-register through an approval workflow gated by admin ACL so staff can vet applicants before they go live. Vendor product submissions can route through a moderation queue before publishing. Everything is exposed over Magento's REST and GraphQL APIs for headless storefronts and mobile apps, and recurring tasks (payout statement generation, commission roll-ups) run on Magento cron.

How long does delivery take, since this is build-to-order?

Because we build the module against your specific Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce version and configure it to your commission and payout rules, this is not an instant download. Installation and verification on your server are included.

What do I need to provide, and where does it run?

It runs on your own Magento install — your server, your database, your domain. You provide your Magento version and edition (Open Source or Adobe Commerce), staging access, and your business rules (commission rates, approval policy, payout cadence). ECOSIRE builds the module, installs it into app/code (or via Composer), runs setup:upgrade and setup:di:compile, and verifies it end-to-end before handover.

How is commission calculated and when is it recorded?

Commission is resolved through a precedence chain — per-product rule, then per-category, then per-seller, then your global default — and each rule can be a fixed amount or a percentage. The amount is computed and ledgered via a plugin and an observer on the invoice-payment flow (sales_order_invoice_pay), so vendor earnings and your platform commission are recorded the moment payment is captured, currency-correct across store views.

How do payouts to sellers work?

The module generates per-period earnings and payout statements for each seller (net of commission), rolled up on Magento cron and visible in both the seller dashboard and admin. The actual money movement is configurable: we can integrate with your existing payment gateway or payout provider, or generate statements for manual/bank settlement. We confirm the exact payout method during scoping since it depends on your country and provider.

What about ongoing support and updates after launch?

ECOSIRE supports the extension after delivery: bug fixes, compatibility patches when you upgrade Magento, and configuration help are covered under the agreed support terms. Because you own the source, there is no per-seller license fee. We can also extend it later — additional payout integrations, seller tiers, or commission models — as a follow-on engagement.
