Newsletter Popup & Exit-Intent Lead Capture is a build-to-order Magento 2 extension that turns first-time, bounce-prone visitors into newsletter subscribers — and rewards them instantly with a coupon. This is not an instant Adobe Commerce Marketplace download. ECOSIRE builds, installs, and configures the module directly on your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce store, then supports it.

The extension ships as a proper module under app/code/Ecosire/NewsletterPopup, registered via registration.php and module.xml. Popups are driven by a lightweight RequireJS front-end component that listens for exit-intent (mouse-leave toward the browser chrome), scroll-percentage, time-delay, and page-load triggers. Display rules — by CMS page, category, customer segment, store view, and device — are evaluated server-side and exposed through a cached config endpoint so the storefront stays fast.

On signup, an observer on the newsletter_subscriber_save_after event (or a dedicated controller) creates the subscriber and, optionally, generates a single-use SalesRule coupon via Magento's \Magento\SalesRule\Model\CouponGenerator — emailed through Magento's transactional templates. Subscribers sync to your ESP (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, and similar) through a configurable connector built on Magento's HTTP client and queued via Message Queue / cron so a slow API never blocks checkout or page render.

Everything is admin-managed: a dedicated config section under Stores → Configuration, ACL-gated admin controllers (Ecosire_NewsletterPopup::manage), and 20–30+ responsive templates you can theme. Service contracts and DI (di.xml) keep it upgrade-safe; the same capture logic is reachable over REST/GraphQL for headless (PWA Studio) storefronts. You own the code after delivery — no per-seat SaaS fee, no external popup script slowing your Core Web Vitals.

Will it work with Adobe Commerce as well as Magento Open Source?

Yes. The module targets both editions and respects multi-store, multi-website, and customer-segment features. On Adobe Commerce we can hook into native Customer Segments for display rules; on Open Source we provide equivalent rule logic since segments are an Adobe Commerce-only feature.

Does adding popups hurt my site speed or SEO?

We build it to minimise impact: configuration is cached and served from a lightweight endpoint, the JavaScript is deferred and loaded via RequireJS, and there is no external SaaS script. We also respect intrusive-interstitial guidelines so popups do not block content on mobile in ways that harm rankings.

Can it integrate with my existing ESP and coupon rules?

Yes. We connect to Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or a comparable provider using your API credentials, and coupons are generated through Magento's native SalesRule engine so they respect your existing cart price rules, usage limits, and expiry settings.
