Every abandoned cart is revenue your store already earned the interest of — then lost at the last step. Abandoned Cart Email Recovery is a Magento 2 module that ECOSIRE builds to order and installs directly on your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce instance, so you recapture that revenue without renting an external ESP.
Multi-stage scheduled reminder sequences (configurable delays per stage, e.g. 1h / 24h / 72h) driven by Magento cron via crontab.xml
Guest + logged-in cart capture through an observer on checkout_cart_save_after / sales_quote_save_after — no checkout step required
Auto-generated single-use incentive coupons created via the SalesRule service contracts, with per-customer binding and expiry
Signed one-click cart restore links that rehydrate the exact quote (items, qty, configurable/bundle options) and redirect to checkout with the coupon pre-applied
Pre-built responsive email templates on Magento's email_template engine — translatable, store-view scoped, and brandable to your theme
Admin configuration under Stores → Configuration with system.xml fields for delays, coupon rules, sender, and exclusion lists
The extension ships as a proper module under app/code/Ecosire/CartRecovery, wired through di.xml, registered cron jobs in crontab.xml, and an observer on checkout_cart_save_after / sales_quote_save_after so both guest and logged-in quotes are captured the moment a customer adds an item. A scheduled cron sweep evaluates idle quotes against your multi-stage sequence (e.g. 1 hour, 24 hours, 72 hours) and dispatches responsive transactional emails built on Magento's email_template system, fully translatable and store-view aware.
Each stage can attach an auto-generated incentive coupon created through Magento's SalesRule service contracts — single-use, expiry-bound, and tied to the recovering customer. Every email carries a signed one-click restore link that rehydrates the exact quote (items, quantities, configurable options) and redirects to checkout via a secure tokenized controller, with the coupon pre-applied.
Admins get a dedicated grid and configuration section under Stores → Configuration, protected by granular ACL resources (Ecosire_CartRecovery::manage), plus a recovery dashboard showing carts captured, emails sent, click-through, coupon redemption and recovered revenue. Data is exposed through service contracts and optional REST/GraphQL endpoints so your BI tools or headless front end can read recovery metrics.
Because it is build-to-order, ECOSIRE tailors the trigger windows, coupon logic, email design and exclusion rules to your catalog and tax/locale setup, then installs, runs setup:upgrade / setup:di:compile, smoke-tests on your staging, and hands over a documented, supported module. This is not an instant Marketplace download — it is engineered for your environment.
Runs a Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce store doing real volume, watches a large share of carts abandon at checkout, and wants automated win-back without paying monthly for a heavyweight ESP.
Owns conversion and revenue targets, needs configurable reminder timing, incentive coupons and clear recovered-revenue attribution to justify and tune the recovery program.
Wants a clean, upgrade-safe module that follows Magento conventions — di.xml, observers, service contracts, ACL, cron — rather than a fragile core hack, and a supported handover they can maintain.

It is not an instant Adobe Commerce Marketplace download. ECOSIRE builds this module to order for your specific Magento install. Typical delivery is about 1 to 2 weeks from kickoff depending on how many email templates, languages and coupon rules you need and your staging access. We scope and confirm a firm timeline before starting, then build, install on your staging, smoke-test, and deploy to production with you.
Every build includes a defined post-launch support window for bug fixes and configuration adjustments. Because the module is installed in your own app/code and follows Magento conventions (di.xml, service contracts, observers), it is upgrade-safe and yours to keep. We also offer optional ongoing support and Magento version-compatibility maintenance (for new Magento Open Source / Adobe Commerce releases) as a continuing arrangement — discussed during scoping.
Yes. Capture runs off an observer on the quote save events, so a cart is recorded as soon as items are added, whether or not the visitor has logged in — provided we have a recoverable email (entered at checkout, newsletter, or a prior session). Guests without any captured email cannot be emailed; that is a fundamental constraint, not a limitation of the module.
It runs on both Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The core recovery engine — cron sequences, coupon generation via SalesRule, restore links, analytics — uses APIs present in Open Source. On Adobe Commerce we can additionally integrate with commerce-only features if your edition has them. We confirm your exact version and edition during scoping so the build targets your platform.
Coupons are created programmatically through Magento's SalesRule service contracts as single-use codes, bound to the recovering customer's cart and given an expiry. They are not shared static codes, so they cannot be scraped and reused at scale. Restore links are tokenized and signed, and the sequence is suppressed automatically once an order is placed or the customer unsubscribes.
Yes. Recovery data is exposed through Magento service contracts, and we can optionally expose REST and GraphQL endpoints so your BI stack or a PWA Studio / Hyvä headless front end can query carts captured, emails sent, coupon redemption and attributed recovered revenue. The endpoints are ACL-protected and scoped to authorized integrations.
