WooCommerce Deposits & Partial Payments turns any product, service or booking into a pay-later offer. Instead of forcing the full amount at checkout, customers can place a fixed or percentage deposit and settle the remainder through a scheduled payment plan — with the stored card auto-charged on each due date.

This is not an instant marketplace download. ECOSIRE builds, installs and configures the plugin on your own WordPress site, tuned to your gateway, product structure and tax rules. We deliver clean, namespaced PHP that hooks into WooCommerce via standard actions and filters (woocommerce_add_cart_item_data, woocommerce_before_calculate_totals, woocommerce_checkout_create_order), so nothing is hacked into core and your site stays update-safe.

Deposit logic is rule-driven from wp-admin: set global defaults, then override per product, per category, or per user role. The remaining balance is modeled as scheduled order items and driven by WP-Cron (or a real server cron for reliability), which triggers gateway charges and balance reminder emails through WooCommerce's transactional mail system. How long until the plugin is live on my site, and how is it delivered?

Because this is build-to-order, it is not an instant download. After a short scoping call we typically deliver and install a working build on your WordPress site within roughly 1–3 weeks, depending on your gateway and how complex your deposit rules are. ECOSIRE installs, configures and tests it on your site (or a staging copy first) — you don't unzip anything yourself unless you ask to.

Do you build, install and support it, or just hand me a ZIP?

We do the full build, install it on your WordPress/WooCommerce site, configure the deposit rules and gateway, and verify the cron and auto-charge flow end to end. You receive a documented handover plus a post-launch support window for bug fixes and WooCommerce/WordPress compatibility. Ongoing maintenance and feature additions can continue under a support arrangement after that window.

Which payment gateways support the auto-charge feature?

Auto-charging the balance requires a gateway that supports stored-card tokenization and off-session (merchant-initiated) payments — Stripe (SCA-aware PaymentIntents), WooCommerce Payments, and Authorize.Net are common fits. We confirm your specific gateway during scoping. If a gateway can't store and re-charge cards off-session, deposits and reminder-driven manual payments still work, but unattended auto-charge won't.

Will it conflict with my theme, HPOS, or other plugins?

The plugin is written against standard WooCommerce actions and filters and is built for HPOS / custom order tables, so it doesn't depend on legacy postmeta-only behavior or patch core. We test it against your active theme and key plugins on staging before going live. It can also be made WPML and multisite compatible when your setup needs it.

Can deposit rules differ by product, category, or customer?

Yes. You set a global default, then override it per product, per category, or per user role from wp-admin. For example, a 50% deposit on custom furniture, a fixed $100 deposit on event tickets, and full payment required for low-value items — all configured without editing code for each product.
