The Subscription & Recurring Payments Gateway is a build-to-order Shopify app that gives subscription and membership brands reliable recurring billing without forcing your shoppers off-platform. ECOSIRE builds it against your store, installs it, and supports it — this is not an instant App Store download.

The app is built on Shopify's Subscriptions APIs and selling plans, registered through OAuth as a custom app with only the scopes it needs (read/write_customer_payment_methods, read/write_own_subscription_contracts, orders, and customers). Recurring charges run against tokenized payment methods — card vaults and supported local wallets — so raw PAN data never touches your store and PCI scope stays minimal. Billing cycles are driven by flexible selling-plan intervals (weekly, monthly, custom anchor dates, prepaid vs. pay-as-you-go).

When a renewal fails, the built-in dunning engine runs configurable retry schedules, smart retry windows, and customer email prompts before a contract is paused — recovering revenue you would otherwise lose to expired cards. Customers manage everything from a self-serve portal embedded in your theme: skip, swap, pause, change frequency, or update their payment method, all writing back via the Admin GraphQL API and reflected in customer metafields.

Renewal events, payment status, and contract changes are synchronized through Shopify webhooks (subscription_contracts/update, subscription_billing_attempts/*), and a Churn/MRR analytics view surfaces active MRR, churn rate, retry recovery, and cohort retention. ECOSIRE delivers the app, connects it to your gateway tokens, configures dunning to your policy, and provides ongoing support and updates. Pricing is a one-time build fee; gateway and Shopify transaction fees remain yours.
