FedEx Shipping for Magento 2 is a custom carrier module that ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs and supports directly on your Magento store. This is not an instant Adobe Commerce Marketplace download — we develop it to fit your FedEx account, service map and store theme, deploy it under app/code/Ecosire/FedExShipping, and stand behind it.
The extension registers a Magento carrier through etc/config.xml and Model/Carrier/FedEx implementing CarrierInterface/AbstractCarrierOnline, so it slots into the native shipping-rate collection event (collectRates) and appears at checkout alongside your other methods. It calls the FedEx Web Services / RESTful Rate API server-side, returns a Magento\Shipping\Model\Rate\Result of available services, and caches responses to keep checkout fast.
Core capabilities: live FedEx rate calculation at quote and checkout for domestic and international carts; multi-currency international rate display that respects your store-view currency and Magento's price scope; shipping label and packing-slip generation wired into the admin order/shipment grid via the shipmentTrack resource; and shipment tracking surfaced in the customer account and order emails through getTrackingInfo().
Configuration lives under Stores → Configuration → Sales → Shipping Methods → FedEx, gated by admin ACL so only authorized roles edit credentials. Domestic and international service mapping (Ground, Home Delivery, Express, International Priority/Economy) is admin-editable. We wire dependencies through di.xml, extend behavior with plugins/interceptors and observers rather than core edits, and expose rate/tracking data over REST and GraphQL when your headless or PWA front end needs it. Works on Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce, current 2.4.x. ECOSIRE delivers a clean, upgrade-safe module — not a patch to core.

Is this an instant download from the Adobe Commerce Marketplace?
No. FedEx Shipping for Magento 2 is build-to-order. ECOSIRE develops the module to fit your FedEx account and service map, then installs it on your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce store and tests it on staging before go-live. There is no instant Marketplace download or self-serve installer.
How long until it's live on my store after I order?
Typical delivery is about 2 to 3 weeks from the kickoff call, depending on your FedEx account access, staging environment availability and how custom your service mapping is. We confirm a firm timeline after a short scoping call and keep you updated through staging review and production deployment.
What do you need from me to build it?
Your FedEx Developer / API credentials (account number, API key/secret and meter where applicable), access to a Magento staging environment that mirrors production, your list of FedEx services per region, and any handling-fee or free-shipping rules you want enforced. We handle the rest.
Do I get ongoing support and updates after delivery?
Yes. ECOSIRE supports the module after install, including bug fixes and adjustments for Magento 2.4.x minor upgrades and FedEx API changes. We agree the support window and scope up front; the module is built upgrade-safe (di.xml, plugins, observers — no core edits) specifically so updates stay low-risk.
Will it work with my headless / PWA Studio storefront?
Yes. Because rates and tracking run through native Magento service contracts, we can expose them over REST and GraphQL so a PWA Studio, Hyvä or custom headless front end can request live FedEx rates and tracking the same way the Luma storefront does.
