The Magento 2 Customer-Facing Display (CFD) turns any spare monitor or tablet at your point of sale into a transparent, branded second screen that faces the shopper while your cashier rings up the order. As items are scanned into the cart, the display mirrors each line, the running subtotal, applied tax and every discount in real time — so the customer sees exactly what they are paying for before they pay.
This is a real Magento 2 module that installs under app/code/Ecosire/CustomerDisplay, registered the standard way via registration.php and etc/module.xml. The cart-mirroring layer is wired through di.xml plugins (interceptors) on the quote and POS order flows plus observers on sales_quote_item_set_product and discount/tax collection events, so totals stay consistent with Magento's own collectors rather than being re-computed. A lightweight authenticated endpoint (REST plus an optional GraphQL resolver) streams the active quote to the second screen; ACL entries under Ecosire_CustomerDisplay::config gate every admin setting. It runs on Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4.x and adapts to the POS you use — whether that is Magento's own checkout, Webkul/MageWorx-style POS, or a custom till built on the quote API.
Because this is sold build-to-order, you are not downloading a generic package from the Adobe Commerce Marketplace and fighting it into your theme. How long until my Customer-Facing Display is delivered and live?
This is a build-to-order module, not an instant Marketplace download. After a short scoping call to confirm your Magento/Adobe Commerce version, POS flow and till hardware, typical delivery is about 2 to 3 weeks: we build and unit-test the module, install it on your staging environment for your sign-off, then deploy to production with you. Complex POS integrations or custom loyalty rules may extend this, and we will give you a firm timeline in writing before we start.
What support and updates do I get after delivery?
Delivery includes a post-launch support and bug-fix window during which we resolve any defects in what we built at no extra charge. Because you own the module source, you are never locked in. For Magento 2.4.x minor upgrades, security patches or new features (extra screens, different POS, new loyalty integration) we provide a clear quote — there is no forced subscription, and we keep the module upgrade-safe by using plugins, observers and service contracts rather than core overrides.
Does it work on both Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce?
Yes. The module targets Magento 2.4.x and runs on both Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Where Adobe Commerce adds features (such as its native loyalty/rewards or B2B quote flows) we wire the display to those during the build; on Open Source we integrate with whatever rewards or POS extension you run, or provide a sensible fallback if none is present.
Will it slow down checkout or conflict with my existing POS extension?
No. The display reads the active quote through interceptors and an authenticated REST/GraphQL endpoint and renders on a separate screen, so it does not change your cashier's checkout path. We build it around your existing POS rather than replacing it, using Magento's own total collectors so the numbers on the customer screen always match the cashier's. We test against your specific POS on staging before going live.
Can the slideshow, branding and loyalty display use our own content and rules?
Absolutely. The promotional/upsell slideshow, logo and colours, tax/discount presentation, loyalty-points wording and the digital-receipt/signup QR are all configured from the Magento admin (ACL-protected) per store view. We set them up with your real assets during the build — there is no placeholder content and no fabricated third-party data.
