What this is

The Dropship & Vendor-Fulfillment Marketplace Connector is a custom Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extension that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports for drop-ship retailers and distributors who sell through marketplaces but never touch the stock themselves. When a marketplace order lands, the connector reads it, applies your routing rules, and raises the right purchase order to the right supplier — then carries the supplier's ASN and tracking number back to the channel so the buyer is updated automatically.

This is build-to-order software, not an instant AppSource download. After you purchase, ECOSIRE scopes your marketplaces, suppliers and fulfillment rules, builds the AL extension against your exact data model, and deploys it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central Online (SaaS) or on-prem environment. There is no public install link, and we do not claim one.

How it works in Business Central

The extension is written in the AL language as table extensions, page extensions and a set of event subscribers that hook the Sales Order and Purchase Order posting flows. Marketplace orders arrive via the channel's API (or your existing middleware) and are written through the Business Central REST/OData v4 API. A Job Queue entry polls supplier availability feeds and pushes ASN/tracking on a schedule you control. Drop-ship links use Business Central's native Sales-to-Purchase drop shipment plumbing where it fits, extended with multi-supplier routing logic, margin capture and chargeback fields.

Dedicated permission sets scope who can edit routing rules, release supplier POs and view margin data. Optional Dataverse / Power Platform integration surfaces hot exceptions (out-of-stock suppliers, chargeback spikes) in a Power BI or Power App view for buyers and finance.

You own the source. ECOSIRE maintains it under a support agreement, and every change ships as a versioned extension update — no unmanaged customizations baked into your base app.

Is this an app I install from Microsoft AppSource?

No. This is a build-to-order extension. There is no instant AppSource download. After purchase, ECOSIRE builds the AL extension against your specific marketplaces, suppliers and data model, then installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment (Online SaaS or on-prem). You receive the source code as well.

How long until it's live in our environment?

Typical delivery is 3 to 5 weeks depending on the number of marketplaces and suppliers and how clean the channel APIs are. After purchase we run a short scoping call, then build, deploy to your sandbox for UAT, get sign-off, and cut over to production. We give you a firm timeline in writing before development starts — we do not promise same-day.

What does ongoing support and updates include?

ECOSIRE supports the extension under an agreement that covers bug fixes, compatibility with Business Central's twice-yearly major releases, and changes to supplier or marketplace APIs. Every change ships as a versioned per-tenant extension update with a rollback path. Feature additions (new suppliers, new channels, new routing logic) are quoted as scoped change requests.

Will it work with our existing marketplace middleware?

Yes. If you already use a channel manager or middleware, the connector ingests orders through the Business Central REST/OData v4 API and can consume your existing feed rather than talking to each marketplace directly. We scope the integration points during discovery and build to fit what you already run.

Does it use standard Business Central drop shipment, or replace it?

It builds on the native Sales-to-Purchase drop shipment link wherever that fits, so your core posting, costing and item ledger behavior stay standard and supportable. The custom AL layer adds multi-supplier routing, supplier availability feeds, ASN/tracking pass-through, and margin/chargeback tracking on top — it does not fork or override base application logic.
