The core is a gateway abstraction layer: a single AL interface that brokers Authorize.Net, Stripe, CardConnect (Fiserv), and similar processors behind one set of Business Central pages and APIs. Your AR team keeps one workflow regardless of which gateway — or which gateways in parallel — you settle through, which gives you real negotiating leverage on interchange and processing fees.
Functionally, the suite extends the Customer, Sales Invoice, and Cash Receipt areas with table and page extensions. Customers receive hosted pay-links by email; AR can fire bulk payment requests across an open-invoice selection from a single action. EMV / tap-to-pay terminal flows are supported for counter and field collection. Stored payment methods are tokenized at the gateway — no PAN data lands in your BC database — and reused for repeat billing and subscriptions. Level 2/3 line-item data is assembled automatically to qualify B2B and government transactions for lower interchange tiers.
Under the hood we use event subscribers on posting routines to capture and reconcile, a Job Queue entry for settlement and retry, dedicated permission sets for AR vs. admin roles, and the BC REST/OData API plus optional Dataverse/Power Platform surfacing for portals and Power Automate flows. Webhooks from each gateway reconcile authorizations, captures, refunds and ACH returns back to the originating ledger entry. Everything is documented, version-controlled, and handed over with a runbook.

How long until it's live, and is this an AppSource download?
It is not an instant AppSource install — this is built to order for your environment. Typical delivery is about 2 to 4 weeks depending on how many gateways you connect, whether EMV terminals are in scope, and your sandbox-to-production change windows. We build and test in your BC sandbox first, then install the per-tenant extension in production with you. If your governance requires an AppSource-track app instead of a per-tenant extension, we scope that variant up front.
Who owns ongoing support and updates after delivery?
ECOSIRE supports the extension after go-live. You receive the full AL source in a Git repository, so you are never locked in, and we provide a support window for fixes and for compatibility with Business Central's continuous monthly/major updates. Gateway API changes, new processors, additional payment workflows or Power Platform integrations are handled as scoped enhancements. We can also operate it under a retainer if you prefer hands-off maintenance.
Does card or bank-account data get stored in Business Central?
No. Payment methods are tokenized at the gateway, and only the token plus non-sensitive metadata are stored. Full PAN and bank-account numbers never touch the BC database, which keeps your Business Central environment out of most PCI DSS scope. Hosted pay-links and terminal flows keep card entry on PCI-validated infrastructure.
Can it run more than one gateway at the same time?
Yes. The abstraction layer is designed so you can route different customers, currencies or transaction types to different processors — for example settling B2B Level 3 card volume through CardConnect while running ACH or subscription cards through Stripe — all behind one Business Central workflow. This is the lever that lets you negotiate interchange and switch processors without re-training AR.
How does reconciliation work for captures, refunds and ACH returns?
Event subscribers on the posting routines capture transactions against the originating Sales Invoice or Cash Receipt, and a Job Queue entry ingests gateway webhooks for authorizations, captures, refunds, disputes and ACH return codes. Each event is mapped back to the correct ledger entry, so your GL stays reconciled automatically rather than through a manual import.
