ECOSIRE Retail POS for Business Central is a point-of-sale terminal that runs inside your Business Central tenant — not a third-party app that you have to reconcile every night. It is delivered as a per-tenant AL extension (table, page and codeunit objects plus event subscribers) so a cashier ringing up a sale writes straight to the same item ledger, sales documents and customer records your back office already uses. Stock decrements the moment the line is posted; there is no batch import, no middleware, no "two sources of truth."

The cashier screen is a touch-first Role Centre page: a scrollable product grid with configurable quick-keys, barcode and keyboard item entry, and live price and on-hand lookup against the item ledger entries. Checkout supports multi-tender — cash, an integrated card terminal, gift card and split payment across methods — and every transaction opens and closes against a till you define, with cash-drawer open/close, blind cash counting, and X and Z reports that tie out to the BC general ledger. Customer lookup, loyalty point accrual and on-the-fly customer creation all happen at the lane.

This is a build-to-order product. ECOSIRE scopes your tills, tender types, receipt layout and store hierarchy, builds the extension to fit your Business Central data model, and installs it directly into your environment as a tenant-specific extension (the same deployment model AppSource apps use, but tuned to you — no public listing, no generic compromise). We wire the required permission sets, configure the job queue for any background posting, and hand over a working POS with documentation. Because it is your extension on your tenant, it upgrades on your schedule and we support it directly. Honest delivery: this is built and deployed for you over a short lead time — it is not an instant download.

How long until the POS is live, and what's the build process?

This is built to order, so there is a short lead time rather than an instant download. After a scoping call covering your tills, tender types, receipt layout, loyalty rules and store hierarchy, ECOSIRE builds the AL extension to fit your Business Central data model, installs it into your tenant as a per-tenant extension, configures permission sets and the job queue, and tests checkout end-to-end against your chart of accounts. Typical delivery is a small number of weeks depending on the number of stores, tender integrations and any custom receipt or loyalty requirements; we confirm a firm timeline once scope is agreed.

Who handles support, updates and Business Central upgrades after go-live?

ECOSIRE supports the extension directly because it lives on your tenant as your per-tenant extension. We handle bug fixes, configuration changes and enhancements, and we test and re-deploy the extension against new Business Central releases so a platform upgrade doesn't break your lanes. Because it's a tenant-specific extension rather than a public AppSource listing, updates ship on your schedule — you're never forced into a third party's release cadence. Ongoing support terms are agreed at handover.

Is this a Microsoft AppSource app I can just download?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. It uses the same per-tenant extension deployment model that AppSource apps use, but it is built specifically for your environment and installed by ECOSIRE — there is no public AppSource listing or self-service download. The $499 covers the build and installation of an extension tailored to your data model and store setup.

Does the POS write straight into Business Central, or sync separately?

It writes straight in. The cashier page posts through AL codeunits and event subscribers to standard BC sales documents and the item ledger, so stock decrements and revenue posts in real time against the same data your back office uses. There is no separate POS database to reconcile and no middleware — price and on-hand figures are read live from item ledger entries at the lane.

Can it handle multiple stores, tills and card terminals?

Yes. The extension supports a multi-store, multi-lane hierarchy where each location and till has its own number series, cash drawer and X/Z reporting that rolls up into BC. Card terminal integration is wired to your nominated payment hardware during the build, and tender types, rounding and receipt layouts can differ per store to match local tax and currency setup.

What permissions and security controls come with it?

ECOSIRE installs Business Central permission sets scoped by role — cashier, shift supervisor and back-office — so lane staff can ring sales and count drawers without access to posting setup or financial configuration.
