Editing hundreds or thousands of records one card at a time is the quiet tax on every Business Central rollout. Mass Data Edit & Excel Round-Trip removes it. ECOSIRE builds you a per-tenant AL extension that lets authorized users export any BC list to Excel, edit in the tool everyone already knows, then re-import through a validation engine that runs the same AL field validation, table relations, and permission checks as the standard BC pages — so a bad import can't silently corrupt your data.
This is build-to-order software, not an instant AppSource download. You buy the build; ECOSIRE develops the extension against your tables and pages (Items, Customers, Vendors, Resources, dimensions, prices, or your own custom tables), installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), and supports it afterward. We scope the exact lists, field rules, and permission sets with you before a line of AL is written.
Under the hood it uses page extensions to add "Export to Edit Sheet" and "Import Changes" actions, the BC OData/REST layer and Microsoft.Office.Excel interop for structured round-trips, event subscribers to enforce validation, and a staging table so every batch gets a change preview (old value → new value, per row) before commit and a rollback if a posted batch needs reversing. Heavy imports can run through the Job Queue so large updates don't block users.

How long does delivery take, and how is it installed?
This is a build-to-order extension, not an instant download. After a short scoping call to confirm which lists, fields, validation rules, and permission sets you need, a typical build runs about 2–4 weeks depending on how many tables and custom rules are involved. ECOSIRE then installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), configures permissions, and walks your team through it. You receive the .app package and the AL source on handover.
What ongoing support and updates do I get?
Every build includes a post-delivery support window for bug fixes and questions. Because it ships as a per-tenant extension that doesn't modify base BC objects, it survives Microsoft's monthly and major BC updates cleanly; if a future BC release changes an API or table we depend on, we patch the extension under support. Beyond the initial window, you can add new lists, fields, or rules as scoped change requests, or take an ongoing maintenance agreement.
Is my data safe during a bulk import?

Can it edit our custom tables and fields, not just standard BC ones?
Yes. Because we build the extension against your specific environment, we can target standard tables (Items, Customers, Vendors, prices, dimensions) and any custom or ISV tables and fields you ask us to scope, as long as they're accessible via AL and the BC API.
