Native Business Central HR (the standard Human Resources module) gives you an Employee card, absence registration and basic employee statistics — but it has no concept of positions, no headcount planning, no visual org chart, and no structured reporting-line hierarchy. The moment your HR team needs more than a flat employee list, you outgrow it.
This is a build-to-order extension: ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs and supports a custom AL extension on top of your existing Business Central tenant. It is not an instant Microsoft AppSource download. We deliver it as a per-tenant extension deployed to your environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), so your data never leaves your Business Central database and there is no third-party SaaS to subscribe to.
Technically, we extend the standard Employee table and Employee card via table extensions and page extensions rather than duplicating data — your existing employees, dimensions and HR posting groups stay intact. We add a Position master, headcount/establishment tracking, and a self-referencing reporting-line structure that drives a dynamic, drill-down org-chart page. Event subscribers keep the hierarchy consistent when employees are hired, transferred or terminated. Everything is surfaced through dedicated pages, role-center cues and analytics, and is reachable over the Business Central REST/OData v4 API for Power BI, Power Apps or Dataverse integration.
You also get the engineering rigor expected of production AL: dedicated permission sets, optional job-queue entries for scheduled headcount snapshots, and an upgrade codeunit so the extension survives Business Central's monthly platform updates. ECOSIRE scopes the build with you, ships it to a sandbox for UAT, then publishes to production and supports it thereafter.
Runs HR on the standard Business Central Human Resources module but needs positions, headcount planning and a real org chart that the native module simply does not provide.
Owns the BC tenant and wants new HR capability delivered as a clean, upgrade-safe per-tenant extension — not unmanaged customizations that break at the next monthly update.
Needs reliable headcount, vacancy and reporting-line data exposed over the REST/OData API to feed Power BI dashboards and Power Apps workflows.

Typical lead time is 2 to 4 weeks from scope sign-off. We start with a short requirements workshop, build the AL extension against a copy of your data, publish it to your Business Central sandbox for UAT, and only then deploy to production. Lead time depends on the depth of custom fields, hierarchy rules and integrations you need — we confirm a firm timeline before any work begins.
No. This is a custom extension that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports on your own Business Central environment. We deliver it as a per-tenant extension published directly to your tenant (cloud SaaS or on-prem). There is no AppSource listing to install yourself and no separate third-party SaaS — your HR data stays inside your Business Central database.
Business Central ships a major platform update roughly twice a year plus monthly service updates. Our extension includes an upgrade codeunit so your data and customizations carry forward. We offer an ongoing support and maintenance plan that covers compatibility testing against each BC release, bug fixes, and small enhancement requests so the extension keeps working as your tenant updates.
No. We extend the standard Employee table and card with AL table and page extensions rather than replacing them, so your current employees, dimensions and HR posting groups remain intact. All new fields are additive, and we deploy to a sandbox for validation before touching production.
Yes. We expose employee, position, headcount and reporting-line data through Business Central REST/OData v4 API pages. That lets you build Power BI dashboards, drive Power Apps and Power Automate flows, or sync entities into Dataverse using Business Central's standard integration, without extracting data to an external system.
