If you sell into the Netherlands, iDEAL is not a "nice to have" — it is the checkout. Yet WooCommerce core ships no iDEAL support, and bolting a generic gateway plugin onto a Dutch store usually means iDEAL is buried under cards, the bank selector is missing or broken, and refunds don't reconcile back to the order.

This is a build-to-order WooCommerce payment gateway that ECOSIRE designs, installs and supports directly on your WordPress site. It is not an instant marketplace download — we build it against your Mollie or Buckaroo account, your theme, and your checkout flow, then hand you a working, documented gateway.

The plugin registers a proper WC_Payment_Gateway so iDEAL appears as a first-class method at checkout (classic shortcode or the block-based Checkout via the Store API). Shoppers pick their bank in the iDEAL bank-selector before redirect, complete payment at their bank, and return to a clean order-received page. We wire the asynchronous status webhook so order status flips on the provider's callback — not on the browser return — so closed tabs and slow banks never strand an order in pending.

Beyond iDEAL we enable the Dutch local-method mix you actually need: Bancontact for Belgian buyers, SOFORT, and SEPA Direct Debit for recurring or invoice flows. Refunds are driven from the WooCommerce order screen and pushed to Mollie/Buckaroo via their API, with EUR settlement reconciled back to the order.

How long does delivery take, since this isn't an instant download?

This is built-to-order, not a marketplace download. Typical delivery is about 5 to 10 business days from the point we have access to your WordPress site and your Mollie or Buckaroo account. A standard iDEAL + bank-selector build on a clean WooCommerce store lands at the faster end; adding SEPA Direct Debit, subscriptions, heavy theme customization, or a block-checkout migration moves it toward the longer end. We confirm a firm timeline in writing before we start.

Do I need my own Mollie or Buckaroo account?

Yes. The gateway connects to your own merchant account so settlement, payouts and compliance stay entirely in your name. You choose the provider (Mollie or Buckaroo); we build against that provider's API, configure your test and live API keys in wp-admin, and verify a real transaction and refund before handover. We never settle funds through ECOSIRE.

What about ongoing support and updates after delivery?

Every build includes a post-delivery support window to fix anything that doesn't behave as specified. Beyond that we offer an optional ongoing maintenance plan that keeps the gateway working as WooCommerce, WordPress core, the block Checkout, HPOS, and the Mollie/Buckaroo APIs evolve. Because ECOSIRE owns the codebase, fixes and compatibility updates come straight from us — there's no third-party plugin vendor in the loop.

Will it work with the new block-based Checkout and HPOS?

Yes. The gateway integrates with the WooCommerce Store API so it renders correctly in the block-based Checkout, and it also supports the classic shortcode checkout for older themes. It declares compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage (custom order tables), so HPOS-enabled stores are fully supported. We test against your actual theme and checkout configuration before handover.

How are refunds and stuck orders handled?

Refunds are issued from the standard WooCommerce order edit screen — enter the amount, hit refund, and the plugin pushes it to Mollie or Buckaroo via their API and syncs the status back. Stuck orders are prevented by relying on the provider's asynchronous status webhook rather than the shopper's browser return: even if a buyer closes the tab after paying at their bank, the callback updates the order status, so paid orders don't sit in pending.
