UAE / KSA VAT Localization for WooCommerce (GCC VAT) is a custom plugin that ECOSIRE builds, installs and supports on your own WordPress site — it is not an instant download from WooCommerce.com or WordPress.org. After purchase we scope your VAT setup, build the plugin against your theme, gateways and order workflow, deploy it to staging, then go live with you.
GCC 5% standard VAT rate pre-configured in WooCommerce tax classes, alongside zero-rated and exempt rate classes for UAE and KSA supplies
Supplier TRN stored in plugin settings and printed on every invoice; buyer TRN captured at checkout via a validated custom checkout field (15-digit format check)
Bilingual Arabic/English tax invoice template with all FTA/ZATCA-mandatory fields: sequential invoice number, issue date, supplier & buyer TRN, VAT-exclusive total, VAT amount, gross total
Automatic simplified vs full tax-invoice selection based on the supply-value threshold (full invoice with buyer details above the limit, simplified below)
Reverse-charge mechanism handling for qualifying B2B and import transactions — VAT shown as accounted-for by the recipient, not charged on the order total
Zero-rated and exempt line handling so qualifying goods/services (exports, specific supplies) carry the correct rate and appear correctly on the return
The plugin makes WooCommerce VAT-correct for the Gulf the way the FTA (UAE) and ZATCA (Saudi Arabia) expect. WooCommerce core treats tax as a generic percentage; it has no concept of a TRN, a bilingual Arabic/English tax invoice, reverse-charge mechanics, or a simplified-vs-full invoice rule. We add all of that through proper WordPress hooks and filters — woocommerce_calculate_totals, woocommerce_get_order_item_totals, the checkout field API and the invoice/PDF layer — so it survives plugin and core updates.
What it does: configures the GCC 5% standard rate alongside zero-rated and exempt classes; captures and validates your supplier TRN plus the buyer TRN at checkout (stored as order meta, HPOS / custom-order-table compatible); renders a bilingual tax invoice with the mandatory fields — sequential invoice number, TRN(s), VAT-exclusive amount, VAT amount and total in AED or SAR; applies reverse-charge for qualifying B2B and import scenarios; and switches between simplified and full tax-invoice layouts based on the supply value threshold.
It also generates a VAT return summary (output VAT, zero-rated, exempt, reverse-charge) you can hand to your accountant or feed into FTA / ZATCA filing. This is localization and compliant invoicing — a strong foundation for, but not a replacement for, ZATCA Phase-2 e-invoicing clearance, which we scope separately.
A Dubai or Abu Dhabi store owner who is VAT-registered and needs compliant 5% tax invoices with their TRN and the buyer's TRN, in Arabic and English, before an FTA review or audit.
A Riyadh or Jeddah merchant who needs correct 5% VAT, SAR invoicing and a clean VAT base now, as a foundation step ahead of ZATCA Phase-2 e-invoicing clearance which is scoped separately.
A bookkeeper who needs reliable output-VAT, zero-rated, exempt and reverse-charge totals from WooCommerce so the periodic VAT return reconciles without manual spreadsheet rebuilding each cycle.

No. This is build-to-order. ECOSIRE builds the plugin for your specific store, installs it on your WordPress site (on staging first, then production), configures your tax classes, supplier TRN and invoice rules, and goes live with you. You also receive the plugin source code at handover — there is no public marketplace download link.
A standard UAE or KSA VAT localization build is typically delivered in about 7 to 10 business days from the time we receive your store access and VAT details (TRN, registration scheme, return frequency). Stores with custom checkouts, unusual gateways, multilingual setups or extra rate rules may take a little longer — we confirm a firm timeline in writing before we start.
Every build includes a defined post-launch support and bug-fix window during which we resolve any issues with the VAT logic, invoices or return export. Because the plugin is hook-based it is designed to survive WooCommerce and WordPress core updates; if a future core change affects it, we cover that within the support window. Longer-term maintenance or retainer support is available as an add-on.
Not by itself. This plugin delivers correct GCC VAT localization and compliant bilingual tax invoices — the right foundation. ZATCA Phase-2 requires structured XML invoices, cryptographic stamping and integration/clearance with the ZATCA platform, which is a separate, larger scope. We can scope that as a follow-on engagement once your VAT base is correct.
Yes. We build against your actual theme, checkout and gateways (for example Telr, PayTabs, Tap, Stripe or bank transfer) and the plugin stores TRN and VAT data on the order using WooCommerce's order API, so it works whether you use the legacy post-based orders or HPOS / custom order tables. We verify this on your staging site before going live.
