Equipment & Product Rental Manager turns your existing Shopify catalog into a real rental and booking engine — without forcing you to rebuild your store on a separate rental platform. Any product can become a date- or time-based rental: customers pick a start and end on the product page, the app checks live availability, and the cart, checkout and order all carry the rental window through to fulfillment.

This is not an instant App Store install. ECOSIRE builds, installs and configures the system for your store, your theme and your rental rules, then hands it over working. We provision a custom Shopify app (OAuth-installed into your admin) that talks to the Admin GraphQL API, stores per-product rental config in metafields, and subscribes to orders/create, orders/cancelled and fulfillments webhooks to keep availability honest.

Under the hood, each rentable product gets a calendar UI injected on the PDP via a theme app embed / app block. Availability is reserved against your real inventory — including multi-location inventory when you rent the same gear from more than one branch — and configurable buffer days prevent back-to-back bookings that leave no time to clean, service or ship between renters. Security deposits and damage waivers are added as line items or draft-order holds; a rent-or-buy toggle lets a single product be sold outright or rented. On return, staff mark the unit back into stock and the system calculates late fees from the agreed return date.

How long does delivery take after I order?

Typical delivery is about 1 to 3 weeks from when we receive store access and your rental requirements, depending on how many product types, locations and custom pricing rules are involved. A straightforward daily-rental setup on a standard theme lands at the faster end; hourly hire, multi-location inventory or heavily customized pricing takes longer. We confirm a firm timeline with you before starting.

What ongoing support and updates do I get?

Every build includes a post-launch support window to fix any issues and help your team get comfortable with the booking and returns workflow. After that, ECOSIRE remains available for maintenance, Shopify API/version updates and new features under a fixed-scope quote. Because we built it, the same team supports it — you're not filing a ticket into a generic app queue.

Will it prevent the same item from being double-booked?

Yes. Availability is checked against your real Shopify inventory in real time, and a unit that's already reserved for an overlapping date range can't be booked again. We also configure buffer days or hours between bookings so there's time to clean, service or ship a unit before the next renter. orders/create, orders/cancelled and fulfillments webhooks keep availability in sync as orders come in, get cancelled or are returned.

Can a product be both rentable and available to buy outright?

Yes. The rent-or-buy toggle lets a single product listing offer rental, outright purchase, or both. The rental configuration lives in metafields per product, so you decide product by product. This is useful for shops that sell ex-rental stock or want to give customers the choice between renting and owning.

Does it work across multiple store locations?

Yes. The system supports Shopify multi-location inventory, so if you rent the same equipment out of more than one branch or warehouse, availability and stock are tracked per location. This keeps a unit held at one site from being promised against a booking that should fulfill from another.
