Running a hair salon on generic Odoo means bending tools that were never shaped for a chair-and-stylist business. The calendar app has no concept of a stylist's working roster, a chair's capacity, or a service that takes 45 minutes for a cut but 2 hours for color and highlights. sale.order and Point of Sale can ring up a haircut, but they don't know that the stylist who performed it earns a 40% commission while the junior who did the wash earns nothing, or that the color tube pulled from stock should be deducted per service. Front-desk staff end up double-booking, commissions get reconciled in a spreadsheet, and no-shows are invisible until the day falls apart. Odoo native runs out of road exactly where a salon lives: the intersection of time, people, services, and retail.
ECOSIRE builds a purpose-fit salon module on top of Odoo's real backbone rather than a fragile bolt-on. We model the domain properly: a salon.service catalog with duration, category (cut, color, treatment, styling), assigned skill level, and a bill-of-materials link to the consumable products each service draws from stock; a salon.stylist extension of hr.employee carrying working hours, chair assignment, service competencies, and a commission rule; and a salon.appointment model with @api.depends computed end-times derived from service duration, overlap-prevention constraints per chair and per stylist, and states (draft, confirmed, in_progress, done, no_show) driven through the statusbar. Booking flows into sale.order on checkout, which flows into POS and invoicing, so one appointment becomes revenue, a stock move for consumables, and a commission line without re-keying.
Technically it is a clean Odoo addon: a proper __manifest__.py declaring dependencies (base, hr, sale_management, point_of_sale, stock, optionally appointment on Enterprise), backend and OWL calendar/gantt views, QWeb reports for the daily chair schedule and per-stylist commission statements, and ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so a receptionist sees all bookings while a stylist sees only their own. Automated actions send confirmation and reminder messages to cut no-shows, and everything is reachable over the standard XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API for a website booking widget or a mobile front desk. We build for your Odoo edition and version — 17.0, 18.0, or 19.0, Community or Enterprise — and where Enterprise's native appointment engine already covers a need, we integrate with it instead of duplicating it.
Delivery is build-to-order. After a short scoping call we confirm the exact service menu structure, commission logic, chair/resource model, and any website or POS integration, then hand back a fixed quotation. Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. You get the installable source for your version, deployment onto your instance or Odoo.sh, UAT on staging with a rollback plan, documentation, a training session, and a post-go-live support window. Pricing starts from $249 (indicative, single-company base scope); additional chairs/branches as separate companies, deeper POS and online-booking integration, payroll-grade commission automation, and migrating historical appointment and customer history increase the quoted scope.
Runs the business on Odoo and wants appointments, retail, stock, and commissions in one system instead of a booking app plus spreadsheets. Needs reliable commission statements and a daily chair view they can trust.
Books and reschedules dozens of appointments a day and needs overlap-proof scheduling by chair and stylist, fast reminders to kill no-shows, and one screen to see the whole floor.
Manages several locations and needs a consistent Odoo configuration across companies, role-scoped access so each branch sees its own agenda, and an API to hook a website or app to.
Wants a clean, well-documented addon with proper models, security rules, and a git handover they can maintain and extend, rather than an opaque off-the-shelf module.
| Kriterium | ECOSIRE | Benutzerdefinierter Build | Konkurrent | Odoo Native |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fit to salon workflow | Modeled to your exact services, chairs, and commission rules | Can fit perfectly but you specify and build everything | Generic salon assumptions, rarely matches your menu | |
| Stylist commissions | Configurable engine, per-service or per-tier commission lines | Build from scratch to your logic | Often fixed or absent, hard to adjust | |
| Double-booking prevention | ORM constraints per chair and per stylist | You implement the constraint logic | Varies; often calendar-level only | |
| Consumable stock per service | Bill-of-materials link posting stock moves per booking | Custom stock integration required | Usually not linked to Odoo stock | |
| Odoo version/edition support | Built and version-matched for 17/18/19, Community or Enterprise | Whatever you target and maintain | Depends on vendor's release cadence | |
| Delivery model | Build-to-order, 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope | Your own timeline and team | Instant install but generic | |
| Source & ownership | Full source + git handover, you own it | You own it, you built it | Often license-locked to the vendor | |
| Support after launch | Defined support window plus optional extended support | Self-supported unless you hire out | Vendor support varies by plan |
No. This is a build-to-order productized service. ECOSIRE engineers the module for your specific service menu, commission logic, and Odoo version, then installs and supports it. There is no instant-download package — it is built for your salon after a scoping call.
Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. After the scoping call we lock the service catalog structure, commission rules, and any integrations, and we give you a delivery date with your fixed quotation. Larger multi-branch or migration work extends the timeline, which we state up front.
Pricing starts from $249 as an indicative single-company base scope. We hold a short scoping call, confirm exactly what you need, and return a fixed written quotation before any build begins. Drivers like extra branches, deep POS/online-booking integration, or historical data migration raise the quoted scope.
We build for Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, in both Community and Enterprise. On Enterprise we integrate with the native appointment engine where it already fits, rather than duplicating it; on Community we deliver the full scheduling and booking model ourselves.
Every engagement includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration tweaks. Because you receive the source and a git repository, your own team can maintain it, and we offer extended support or version-upgrade builds (for example when you move from 18.0 to 19.0) as a separate scoped engagement.
Yes. The commission engine generates reviewable commission lines per completed appointment based on your rules (percent or fixed, per service or per stylist tier), and services can be linked to a bill of materials so consumables like color and developer post stock moves automatically when a booking is completed.
You get the full installable source and a git repository handover with commit history. Nothing is obfuscated or license-locked to us — you own your version and can extend or maintain it independently.
