Was ist WooCommerce Connector?

A built-to-order WooCommerce integration for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. ECOSIRE builds, tests and deploys it into your LCS pipeline after a scoped fixed quote — nothing is pre-packaged. Built to order by ECOSIRE for Dynamics 365 F&O (build-to-order) — indicative price from $999.00 USD; request a quote for a scoped proposal.

WooCommerce Connector — A built-to-order WooCommerce integration for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

What we build

  • Sales order creation in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations from the WooCommerce REST API v3 orders endpoint, with staging tables and idempotency keys to prevent duplicates on retry
  • Per-store mapping to legal entity, customer group, site, warehouse, sales order pool and default ledger dimensions for multi-entity and multi-store setups
  • Customer matching and creation through Global Address Book APIs, with configurable strategy for guest checkout, registered accounts and one-time delivery addresses
  • Released product and product variant publishing to WooCommerce, including product dimensions (size, colour, style, configuration) mapped to WooCommerce variable product attributes
  • Sales price synchronisation from base sales price or trade agreements so storefront pricing matches what F&O will invoice
  • On-hand inventory feed by site and warehouse, optionally net of reservations and open order lines, with a configurable web-channel buffer quantity
  • Packing slip and warehouse work completion write-back, including carrier and tracking number, so WooCommerce order status and customer notifications reflect real fulfilment
  • Sales invoice posting write-back with the F&O invoice number and date returned to the WooCommerce order record
  • WooCommerce refund handling routed to a return order or free-text credit note in F&O based on agreed process rules
  • Payment method, gateway transaction reference and payout batch identifier captured on the sales order and carried through to the customer transaction for reconciliation
  • Data entities and OData endpoints for the integration contract, reusable by the data management framework for bulk load and initial catalogue publish
  • Recurring batch jobs on the standard batch framework with batch groups, configurable recurrence, an integration message log, error reasons and one-click reprocessing of failed messages

Über dieses Produkt

The problem

A WooCommerce storefront can take orders every minute of the day. Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is where those orders have to become sales orders, picking work, packing slips, invoices and ledger postings against the correct legal entity. In most mid-market businesses the bridge between the two is a person: someone exports a CSV each morning, re-keys the customer address, guesses which item number the WooCommerce SKU maps to, and emails tracking numbers back to customers by hand.

That manual bridge costs you in three places. Orders reach the warehouse hours late, so same-day dispatch quietly stops being possible. Inventory on the website drifts away from physical on-hand, so you oversell items that are already allocated to a different channel. And finance closes the month reconciling a spreadsheet of storefront payouts against sales invoices that were entered under a different customer account each time.

What ECOSIRE builds

ECOSIRE builds a bi-directional integration between one or more WooCommerce stores and your F&O environment, delivered as an X++ extension model. We do not overlayer standard code. Everything is delivered through extension classes, chain-of-command, event handlers, table extensions and form extensions, so your environment stays upgradeable across Microsoft's service-update cadence.

Order ingestion

Orders are pulled from the WooCommerce REST API (/wp-json/wc/v3/orders) on a batch job you control, or pushed in near-real time via a WooCommerce webhook into a secured endpoint. Each store is mapped to a specific legal entity, a specific customer group, a specific site and warehouse, and a specific sales order pool, so a multi-store, multi-entity setup lands in the right books without manual sorting. The integration writes a staging record first, then creates the sales order, so a bad payload never leaves a half-created order in your production tables.

Customer and address handling

Guest checkouts, registered WooCommerce accounts and B2B customers are handled differently on purpose. We build a matching strategy with you: match on email, on an external customer identifier written back to WooCommerce, or route to a single cash customer with the shipping address created as a one-time delivery address. Party records, contact information and tax registration identifiers are created through the standard Global Address Book APIs rather than direct table inserts.

Product, price and inventory synchronisation

Released products, product variants and dimension combinations (size, colour, style, configuration) are published to WooCommerce as simple or variable products with matching attributes. Prices come from your trade agreements or base sales price so the storefront cannot drift from what F&O will invoice. Available inventory is calculated from on-hand by site and warehouse, optionally net of reservations and open sales lines, and written back to WooCommerce stock quantities on a batch schedule with a configurable buffer so you can deliberately hold stock back from the web channel.

Fulfilment and returns

When the packing slip is posted — including work completed through the warehouse mobile app if you run advanced warehousing — the integration updates the WooCommerce order status and writes the carrier and tracking number back to the order so the customer's notification email carries real data. Invoices are posted in F&O and the invoice reference is written back. Refunds raised in WooCommerce can create a return order or a free-text credit note in F&O, depending on the process we agree during scoping.

Payments and reconciliation

Storefront payment method, transaction reference and payout batch identifier are captured on the sales order and carried to the customer transaction. That gives finance a field to reconcile against, instead of matching amounts by eye. Ledger dimension defaulting — channel, store, brand or whatever your dimension structure uses — is applied at order creation so revenue lands in the right analytical slice.

Data platform choices

Where it fits your architecture, we implement the interface using data entities and OData rather than bespoke services, so the same contract is reusable by other tools and by the data management framework for bulk loads. Recurring integration jobs, import/export projects and staging clean-up all run through the standard batch framework with configurable recurrence, batch groups and alerting. Where you already run Power Platform, we can surface the integration log and reprocessing actions as a model-driven app or expose sync status through Dual-write rather than building a second admin screen.

Operations, errors and replay

Every message is logged with its raw payload, its resulting record, and its outcome. Failures are visible on a monitoring form with a reason, not buried in the batch job history. Any failed message can be corrected and replayed without asking a developer for help, and idempotency keys stop a retried webhook from creating a duplicate sales order.

Who this is for

Businesses running F&O for finance, supply chain and warehousing, with a WooCommerce storefront (or several) as a direct-to-customer or B2B ordering channel. It suits organisations with multiple legal entities, multiple warehouses, product variants, or trade agreement pricing — the situations where a generic connector template stops being enough and the mapping has to be engineered.

How delivery works

1. Scoping call. We walk your WooCommerce setup, your F&O version and topology, your legal entity and warehouse structure, and the exact order-to-cash process you want automated. We agree what is in scope and what is deliberately out.

2. Fixed quote. You receive a written scope and a fixed price before any code is written. The listed price is a starting point for a standard single-store, single-entity build; multi-store, multi-entity and advanced warehousing scope is priced from the call.

3. Build. ECOSIRE develops the model in a dedicated development environment. Lead time is typically one working week from a signed scope, depending on complexity.

4. Install in test. We deploy the deployable package into your sandbox through your LCS pipeline, configure the integration parameters, and run agreed test scenarios with your team against real order shapes from your storefront.

5. Production. After your sign-off, the same package is deployed to production through your normal release process. We are on the call for the first live orders.

6. Support. A support window is included with every build for defect fixes and configuration assistance. Extended support and enhancement work is quoted separately.

Nothing here is a shrink-wrapped download. Each build is scoped against your environment and delivered as source code and a deployable package that belongs to you.

How delivery works

  1. 1

    Scoping call

A short call to confirm the workflow, your platform version and where the integration boundaries sit.

  2. 2

    Fixed quote

You receive a written scope and a fixed price. Nothing is built until you approve it.

  3. 3

    Build and test

We develop against a copy of your configuration and test it there. Typically two to four weeks.

  4. 4

    Install and support

Wir installieren auf Ihrer Instanz, übergeben den Quellcode und schließen zwei Wochen Go-live-Support ein. Fehler im von uns gelieferten Code beheben wir kostenlos.

Für wen das ist

E-Commerce Operations Manager

Spends the first hour of every day exporting WooCommerce orders and re-keying them so the warehouse can start picking, and still fields customer emails asking where their tracking number is. With the connector, orders land as F&O sales orders on a schedule they control, and tracking numbers flow back to the storefront the moment the packing slip posts.

Supply Chain Manager

Is held responsible for oversells caused by a website stock figure that was accurate yesterday, and for holiday stock that sits in the wrong warehouse for the web channel. The inventory feed publishes on-hand by site and warehouse with a deliberate buffer, so the storefront reflects what is genuinely available to sell.

Financial Controller

Closes each month reconciling gateway payouts against sales invoices that were entered inconsistently, with no reliable field linking the two. Payment references and payout batch identifiers are captured on the order and carried to the customer transaction, and channel ledger dimensions are defaulted at creation so revenue reporting does not need a manual re-class.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Is this ready to download and install today?
No. Every ECOSIRE app is built to order. After a scoping call you receive a fixed quote, and the build typically takes one working week from signed scope to a package installed in your sandbox. Complex scope — multiple stores, multiple legal entities, advanced warehousing, unusual pricing rules — extends that, and we tell you the expected timeline in writing before you commit.
Which Dynamics 365 versions and editions are supported?
Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (the Finance & Operations apps), on cloud-hosted environments managed through LCS, including Tier-2 and above sandboxes. We build against your current platform and application release and confirm the exact version during scoping. This is not a Business Central product and does not run on Business Central.
Will this break when Microsoft applies a service update?
The model is built entirely with extensions — chain-of-command, event handlers, table and form extensions — with no overlayering of standard code, which is the supported pattern for staying upgradeable. We cannot promise Microsoft will never change a standard API, but this approach means service updates apply normally rather than blocking on customisation conflicts, and any genuine break is covered by your support window.
Can it handle more than one WooCommerce store or more than one legal entity?
Yes. Each store is configured independently and mapped to its own legal entity, customer group, site, warehouse and default ledger dimensions. This is a common scope and is priced from the scoping call, since the mapping and testing effort grows with each store and entity.
What happens when an order fails to import?
The raw payload is stored and the failure is written to an integration message log with the reason, visible on a monitoring form rather than buried in batch history. A key user can correct the underlying data — a missing item mapping, an invalid tax group — and replay the message. Idempotency keys mean a replayed or retried webhook will not create a duplicate sales order.
Who owns the code once it is delivered?
You do. The X++ model source is delivered into your source control alongside the deployable package, so your team or any other partner can maintain or extend it. We are not creating a dependency you cannot leave.
