Quote & Proposal Document Designer

The Quote & Proposal Document Designer is a made-to-order Odoo application ECOSIRE builds on sale_management and web to close that gap. At its core is a drag-and-drop template builder — a new sale.proposal.template model with orderable child block records (sale.proposal.block, sequence-based) rendered through OWL components in the backend and QWeb for output. You compose a proposal from reusable, sequenced blocks: cover page, intro letter, scope, product option/spec tables, terms, and a signature block. Dynamic blocks bind directly to the underlying sale.order via compute/@api.depends fields, so order lines, subtotals, taxes, and res.partner customer data flow into the document live — never retyped. Auto-generated option and specification tables read from the configured quote lines, and conditional sections appear or hide based on rules you define (deal size via amount_total, product_category, or a customer segment tag).

Technically, output is dual-channel from a single template definition. A polished PDF is produced through a dedicated QWeb report (ir.actions.report) so it matches your brand exactly for email and print, while a responsive web-quote view extends the customer portal so recipients can accept, e-sign, and pay online — the same actions Odoo's portal already exposes on sale.order, wrapped in your branding. Multiple themes are stored as data records and selectable per company (res.company) or brand, inline images and embedded video links live inside blocks, reusable case-study blocks are shared across templates, and per-language variants let one master template render localized proposals using Odoo's translation framework. Access is governed by ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so template authors, sales reps, and managers see the right scope, and everything is reachable over the XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API for integration with upstream CRM or CPQ flows. We target Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, and adapt the build to Community or Enterprise depending on the portal, e-sign, and studio features your edition provides.

Because this is build-to-order, nothing ships until we agree on scope. After a short scoping call we confirm your block library, brand themes, conditional rules, and output formats, then build, test on a staging database, and hand over installable source with documentation and training.
