Gift Cards & Store Credit turns WooCommerce into a full gift-card and store-credit platform without you stitching together half-compatible plugins. We build a custom gift card engine registered as its own product type, persisted in dedicated tables and order meta, so codes, balances, and redemptions survive theme changes and core updates.
Customers buy digital cards (emailed with a scheduled delivery date and a custom design) or physical cards (printed code + QR/barcode, fulfilled like any shippable line item). Each card carries a unique redemption code generated server-side, hashed at rest, and validated at checkout through a WooCommerce cart fee/coupon hook so partial redemptions correctly decrement the remaining balance. Unused balance flows into a per-customer store-credit wallet that displays in My Account and applies automatically on the next order.
The build is HPOS-aware (WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage / custom order tables) and exposes read endpoints through the WooCommerce REST API, so your POS, mobile app, or in-store scanner can look up and burn a code via QR or barcode. We wire balance adjustments through WordPress actions and filters (woocommerce_order_status_completed, refund hooks) and schedule expiry reminders via WP-Cron. Admin controls live in a dedicated wp-admin screen: issue, void, top-up, and audit every card.

How long does delivery take, since this is build-to-order?
This plugin is custom-built for your site, not an instant download. After purchase we run a short scoping call to confirm your denominations, expiry, tax, and POS needs, then build, install, and test on a staging copy of your WordPress site. Typical delivery is about 2 weeks for the standard scope described here; heavy POS or multisite integration can extend that, and we confirm the timeline in writing before we start.
What do ongoing support and updates include?
Every build includes a support window for bug fixes and compatibility with WooCommerce and WordPress core updates after go-live. Because the plugin lives on your site (not a marketplace), updates are applied by ECOSIRE or handed to you with notes. We offer optional ongoing maintenance for sites that want us to track each WooCommerce release, re-test redemption flows, and patch proactively — scoped separately from the one-time build price.
Does it work with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)?
Yes. The build is HPOS-aware — gift card data and the transaction ledger are written to work with WooCommerce custom order tables enabled. We declare HPOS compatibility and verify redemption, refunds, and wallet application with HPOS turned on during testing before go-live.
Can my physical POS or in-store scanner redeem these cards?
Yes. Each card carries a QR/barcode, and we expose WooCommerce REST API endpoints to look up a balance and burn a code. Your POS, a mobile app, or a handheld scanner can call those endpoints to redeem in person. Exact POS wiring depends on your hardware and software — we scope that integration with you, and deep custom POS bridges may add to the timeline.
Can customers use leftover gift-card value as store credit?
Yes. Unspent balance is held in a per-customer store-credit wallet shown in the WooCommerce My Account area. Partial redemptions decrement the remaining balance correctly, and the wallet can auto-apply at the next checkout. You can also configure refunds to return value to a customer's wallet instead of the original payment gateway.
Will it support multiple languages and currencies?
Card emails, labels, and the redemption UI are built WPML- and multisite-friendly so multilingual and network stores work. Currency follows your WooCommerce configuration; multi-currency setups (for example via a currency-switcher plugin) are supported when we account for them during scoping so balances and redemptions stay consistent across currencies.
