Local Delivery Drivers & Dispatch turns WooCommerce into the dispatch desk for your in-house delivery fleet — no third-party courier, no per-delivery SaaS fee. It is not an instant download: ECOSIRE builds, installs and configures it on your WordPress site, then supports it. We scope your workflow, ship the plugin against your theme and HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage) setup, and hand you a working dispatch operation.
Dedicated WordPress `driver` user role with capabilities scoped so each driver sees only their own assigned orders, never the full store order list
Dispatch board in wp-admin: a filterable, sortable queue of paid/processing orders with one-click driver assignment and drag-to-reassign
Mobile-friendly driver view served as a front-end page gated to the `driver` role — works in any phone browser, no app-store install required
Driver status updates (out for delivery / delivered / failed with reason) that write order notes and transition a custom WooCommerce order status
Delivery date and time-slot selector added at checkout, saved to order meta with configurable slot capacity and server-side cut-off enforcement
Basic route ordering that sequences a driver's stops by delivery address for the run
The plugin registers driver accounts as a dedicated WordPress role (driver) with capabilities scoped so a driver only ever sees their own assigned orders — never the full store. Managers work from a dispatch board in wp-admin: a filterable queue of paid/processing orders with one-click assignment, drag-to-reassign, and a basic route ordering view that sequences a driver's stops by delivery address for the run.
At checkout we add a delivery date and time-slot field (a custom checkout field saved to order meta via woocommerce_checkout_create_order), with configurable slot capacity and cut-off times enforced server-side. Drivers get a mobile-friendly driver view (a front-end page gated to the driver role, works in any phone browser — no app-store install) listing their stops, customer address, phone tap-to-call and order notes.
Drivers update status — out for delivery / delivered / failed (with reason) — and each change writes an order note, fires a WordPress action hook, and transitions a custom order status so your existing email/automation flows can react. Everything reads and writes through the official WooCommerce CRUD/REST API and standard hooks, so it survives Woo and WordPress core updates. We respect WPML/multisite where you run it, and hand over clean, documented code you own outright.
Takes online orders through WooCommerce and delivers with in-house riders. Needs to push each order to a specific driver, capture a delivery time slot at checkout, and see live delivered/failed status without phoning drivers — all without paying a per-order delivery SaaS.
Fulfils same-day local orders with a small van/bike team. Wants a dispatch board to balance the day's runs, basic route ordering so drivers stop efficiently, and a phone-friendly view drivers can use without installing an app.
Sells homewares, flowers or specialty goods locally and delivers personally. Needs scheduled delivery slots at checkout, proof of delivery on the order, and status updates that trigger the customer's 'delivered' email automatically.

This is build-to-order, not an instant marketplace download. After purchase we scope your delivery workflow (driver count, slot rules, order statuses you use), then build, install and configure the plugin on your WordPress/WooCommerce site. Typical delivery is around 2 to 4 weeks depending on customization depth and how quickly we get staging access. You get a staging review before anything goes live on production.
Yes. Every build includes a warranty period for bug fixes after go-live, and we test against new WooCommerce and WordPress core releases on request. Because the plugin is built on the official WooCommerce CRUD/REST API and standard hooks (not fragile internal hacks), core updates rarely break it. You own the source code outright; ongoing maintenance or feature retainers are available but never mandatory — you're not locked into a subscription.
No. The driver view is a front-end web page gated to the WordPress `driver` role, so drivers just log in from their phone browser (iOS Safari or Android Chrome) and see their assigned stops. No app-store install, no separate device management. It's responsive and built for one-handed use on a phone.
Yes. It's built against WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (custom order tables) and reads/writes orders through the WooCommerce CRUD API, so it coexists with HPOS rather than fighting it. The delivery slot field is added to your existing checkout via standard WooCommerce checkout hooks, and the driver view is styled to your theme. We confirm compatibility with your specific gateways and any WPML/multisite setup during scoping.
It includes basic route ordering — sequencing a driver's stops by delivery address for the run so they're not zig-zagging. It is honestly not a full last-mile optimization engine with live traffic, multi-vehicle constraints and ETA prediction. If you need that, we can integrate a mapping/routing API (for example a Google Maps or OpenRouteService key you provide) as a paid add-on, but the base build covers practical stop sequencing for a small local fleet.
Drivers are standard WordPress users with the scoped `driver` role — you deactivate or delete the account in wp-admin and their access ends immediately. Each driver can only see their own assigned orders, never the full order list or other drivers' runs. All order and customer data stays in your own WooCommerce database on your hosting; nothing is sent to a third-party delivery cloud.
