WooCommerce shows you revenue. It does not show you profit. Your "Analytics > Net Sales" number ignores what you paid for stock, the Stripe/PayPal gateway fees, real shipping cost, and the ad spend that bought the order. Cost of Goods (COGS) & Profit Reports for WooCommerce closes that gap.
This is a build-to-order plugin — ECOSIRE builds it, installs it on your WordPress site, and supports it. It is not an instant WooCommerce.com or WordPress.org download. We scope it to your store, products, gateways and cost structure, then deliver a working plugin in your wp-content/plugins/ directory.
What it does, concretely:
- Adds a COGS field per product and per variation (material, labor, inbound shipping) stored in product meta and editable from the product data panel and in bulk via CSV or the WooCommerce REST API.
- Writes profit and margin columns onto the WooCommerce Orders screen and product list — HPOS / custom order tables compatible, so cost is snapshotted at sale time and historical margins stay accurate even after a price change.
- Generates a true Profit & Loss report: revenue minus COGS, minus payment-gateway fees (parsed from gateway metadata), minus shipping, minus ad spend.
- Tracks inventory valuation — purchase value, COGS value, retail value and stock-on-hand across your catalog.

Is this an instant plugin download I can install myself?
No. This is build-to-order. ECOSIRE builds the plugin around your store's products, variations, gateways and cost structure, then installs and activates it on your WordPress site. It is not a one-click WooCommerce.com or WordPress.org download — you receive a working, configured plugin plus the full source code.
How long does delivery take?
Typical lead time is about 2 to 4 weeks from when we confirm scope and you provide WooCommerce/WordPress admin (or staging) access and your cost data. A straightforward single-store build lands toward the shorter end; multilingual (WPML), multisite, or custom ERP/REST sync extends it. We give you a firm date after scoping — we don't promise same-day.
Will it work with HPOS and my version of WooCommerce?
Yes. The plugin is built against WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (custom order tables) and declares HPOS compatibility, so it doesn't depend on legacy order post-meta. We test it against your specific WooCommerce and WordPress versions before handover and keep PHP and WP coding standards throughout.
Are profit and cost figures hidden from staff and customers?
Yes. Cost, margin and P&L data are gated behind WordPress capabilities — by default only administrator and shop_manager roles can see them. Nothing about COGS or profit is ever exposed on the storefront, in REST responses to unauthenticated requests, or in customer-facing order emails.
What about updates and ongoing support after delivery?
Every build includes a post-delivery support window covering bug fixes and a compatibility check against WooCommerce and WordPress core updates. Because you own the source outright, you're never locked into a subscription. Many merchants keep a low-cost ongoing maintenance arrangement with ECOSIRE for proactive updates as their store and gateways change — but that's optional, not required to keep the plugin working.
