The connector listens to Shopify webhooks (orders/create, orders/paid, refunds/create, payouts) and reads the Admin GraphQL API to capture every order's gross sales, Shopify Payments fees, shipping, discounts, gift cards, taxes and refunds. Instead of dumping thousands of noisy invoices into Xero, it posts summarized daily journals — one clean entry per day per store — so your Xero bank reconciliation for each payout matches a single offsetting transaction.
Because it's build-to-order, we map your real accounts during a discovery call: which Xero tax rates correspond to which Shopify tax lines, how COGS should be split, and whether you want per-order or daily summarization. Multi-currency and multi-store setups are handled with per-store account mapping and Xero's base-currency conversion.
Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 for both Shopify and Xero, with tokens stored encrypted and refreshed automatically. We deploy on ECOSIRE-managed infrastructure (or yours), run a historical backfill of past payouts, and validate the first reconciliation with your accountant before handover.

It is not an instant download. This connector is build-to-order: after purchase we schedule a short discovery call to map your Xero accounts and tax rates, then build, install and validate the integration. Typical delivery is about 2 to 4 weeks depending on multi-store and multi-currency complexity. We confirm a firm window before any work starts.
+What happens after launch — do I get ongoing support and updates?
Yes. Every build includes a post-launch support window with a named ECOSIRE contact for fixes and mapping adjustments. If Shopify or Xero change their APIs, or you add a store, currency or new tax rate, we update the connector. Longer-term maintenance and enhancements are available as an ongoing arrangement.

By default it posts summarized daily journals — one clean entry per day per store covering sales, fees, refunds and tax — so Xero stays uncluttered and each payout reconciles cleanly. If you need per-order detail instead, we can configure that during discovery.

That is the core purpose. The connector captures gross sales, Shopify Payments fees and refunds, then posts journals so each payout deposit in your Xero bank feed matches a single offsetting transaction with no leftover unreconciled difference.

Yes. We map each Shopify store to its own set of Xero accounts so figures never blend, and we handle currency conversion against your Xero base currency. This is configured per store during the build so consolidation stays accurate.
